I'm sitting on my bed, in my room alone. I stare at my fingers, I snap them and small sparks of electricity come burst of of my finger tips. I snap my fingers again, sparks still burst out. I sigh heavily and stand up. I touch the door knob, I feel a current run out of my body and into the knob. I open the door and see the girl of my dreams standing in front of me.

"Hi Chris." She says waving at me with a smile on her face.

"Hi Ash." I reply with a smile my own.

"Well, who are we waiting for let's go." She says gesturing me to follow her.

We start walking to the library.

"So... How was your weekend?" I ask Ash, trying to start a conversation.

"It was good. I was finally able to have some time with my sister." She says.

"How is she?" I ask.

"She's doing great, even if her big sister isn't there." She says chuckling a little in the end. "So how was yours?" She asks me.

I instantly remember blowing up my alarm clock because of an electrical overload, caused by me.

"My alarm clock blew up." I say calmly.

"How? Are you ok?" She asks with concern on her face.

"Don't not a scratch on me." I tell her.

"How did it blow up anyway?" She continues asking.

"Faulty wiring maybe." I lie to her.

She seems to buy it because she only nods. She then looks at her pocket and pulls out her phone. I see her wallpaper is a picture of us during senior prom.

I'm honestly surprised, why would she make that her wall paper. Unless... Nah it's not possible she probably only sees me as a friend. I sigh to myself, it's not hard to confess Chris just get on with it.

Ash must have heard me sigh because she looks up at me.

"You alright?" She asks.

"Yeah, I just didn't have a goodnight sleep." I lie to her, again.

"Aw, do you want me to sing you a lullaby?" She asks making cute faces.

I smile instantly. "Maybe." I tell her humorously, hoping she doesn't catch the tiny hint of seriousness.

We start laughing until we are interrupted by the lights flickering.

"What was that?" Ash asks looking around.

I look around myself and see that we walked by a fuse box.

"Shit." I say to myself.

"What?" Ash asks.

"It's probably someone screwing around with the fuse box." I say pointing at the fuse box.

"I don't wanna hang around here any longer." Ash says beginning walk away quickly.

"Hey!" I call out. She turns to look at me. "Is it ok if I can lag behind for a while? I just gotta check something." I ask her.

"Ok, just make it quick alright." She says.

I give her a thumbs. I watch her walk away and turn right into the hall. i look around the hallway and see nobody. I look down on my hands, I snap my fingers and the lights flicker again. I sigh and walk to the library to meet up with Ashley.
