Heroes Until Dawn

Powerless...

SAM POV

The moment those words exit my mouth the ground starts to shake.

"Earthquake!" Chris screams.

We all start to rush out of the farm building.

We exit the dorm building and we are confronted by James and some other people. One of them has their hands raised up, he's probably the guy making the earthquake.

JAMES WALKER POV

"Miss me?!" I ask.

No answer...

"Jake put you can stop now..." I tell him.

The ground stops shaking.

"It wasn't hard to find you guys!" I start. "I had to make a few jumps to some certain locations and ask your folks."

"You didn't!" Sam says in disbelief.

"Believe me!" I reply.

I shoot a stream of fire out of my hands. My gang does their thing.

Now if I can find their teleported, that isn't Mike. My eyes land on the ginger. I teleport towards her and take her. I bring her to our hideout and absorb her ability permanently.

"Try teleporting now bitch!" I knock her out.

I teleport back to the college and look for the guy with electricity. I find him squaring off against Jake. I teleport behind him and Jake winks at me. I smile and duck down as a rock comes flying. Chris, I believe that's his name, falls to the ground. I check for a pulse, he's still alive good. I teleport him to the hideout.

MIKE POV

I throw one of James' friends towards a car. I'm then thrown away to the side. James no doubt.

"Alright boys! We're out of here!" James exclaims.

They all huddle together and teleport to else where.

HAZEL POV

I start to look around for my sister.

"Where's Ash?!" I ask.

Everyone starts to look around. From the corner of my eye I see a note on the ground. I pick it up.

"Guys! He left us a note!" I say.

Everyone goes around me as we read the note.

Mike

If you noticed that your friends, Chris and Ashley are gone. That's because I have taken them. If you want to find them, they are in a warehouse. You probably have less that an out to look for them. We have a game to play...

James

"Start looking!" Mike exclaims.

Few minutes later...

CHRIS POV

I feel myself waking up after being knocked out. I open my eyes and see that I'm tied to a chair, one hand free. I try to use my ability but nothing happens. Ash begins to stir.

"Ash!" I call her.

"Chris..." She says.

"James!" James cuts in. "So glad you are all awake now! We can finally get started!" He places a gun on the table. "The gun is loaded... Chris you have a choice, since you and Ash are both powerless. You can't use any of your bullshit... However you can be a hero or villain..."

"The only villain here is you!" I yell.

"True... But you know you can't kill me..."

"How bout your friends..."

"Behind some bullet proof glass I stole... Now choose, will you shoot yourself to save your beloved Ashley... Or shoot her and the second heart beat I'm hearing right in here..." James points to Ash's stomach.

No... She can't be...

"I'll leave you all to say your goodbyes." James then walks away.

Ash and I stay in silence for a while.

"Ash... You're pregnant?" I break the silence.

"I'm so sorry Chris... I should've told you..." She replies.

I reach into my pocket and pull out the ring box.

"If that's the case... Ash if I don't make it... I want to let you know how much I love..."

"Chris..."

I set the ring box on the table and manage to open it with one hand. Ash starts to tear up.

"Yes..."

That's when I hear the saws...

Sorry if this is shorter a than usual, also I'm so sorry if this took ages to be published. I was having writer's block for this story and I was updating my other story, Second Dimension, check it out if you haven't please (enough with the self promotion!!!).
