HAZEL POV
I hear my phone vibrate on top of the coffee table in the Washington apartment. I reach for it and see that Jess is calling me.
I answer. "Jess?"
"Hi Z, are you and Ash busy right now?" Jess asks.
I look at Ash and see her still staring at the TV. "No."
"Is it cool if you guys can meet with us at the local bar?"
"I'll ask Ash." I look at Ash. "Ash do you wanna go to the bar with Sam and Jess?"
She turns off the TV and looks at me. "Sure, I could use a drink or two."
"We'll meet you guys at your dorm." I say. "Ash take us to Sam and Jess' dorm."
She sighs and takes my shoulder. We teleport and land on top of Sam's bed.
"Hey guys!" Jess greets us.
"Hi Jess." Ash and I reply.
"So how are you guys doing?" Sam asks.
"Great but Chris has been distant lately." Ash replies.
Ha! She has no idea...
"How bout you Z?" Sam continues.
"Josh and I are still going strong, and by strong I mean real strong." I say as I put my finger through a hole I made with my finger.
"That's disgusting Z!" Ash says.
"Not as bad as what you and Chris did when Josh and I were out." I say.
"It's Josh's fault that you saw that. He left some cameras in our bedroom."
"Why was there a camera?" Jess asks.
"Josh was making a short film." I reply,
"About?" Sam asks.
"I don't really know, all I know is that it's about a group of teenagers born on 1999 that have powers." (Self promotion... SIN!)
"Sounds interesting..." Jess says. (More self promotion! Add two more sins!)
"Anyways what do you guys wanna do?" Sam asks.
"I was hoping we could get wasted." Jess suggests.
"Something that doesn't involve alcohol." Sam says instantly.
"You look like you could use some." I say.
"How bout we just see a future." Ash suggests.
"Ash! I stopped doing that remember." I exclaim.
"But can you do it... I actually like the feeling I get when you see a future." Ash begs.
"You're buying me a drink." I tell her.
"Deal..."
Few minutes later...
Sam, Jess, Ash, and I hold hands.
"You know the drill. Close your eyes and let me do the rest." I say.
I close my eyes and feel the rush of energy I get whenever I use my powers return.
I open my eyes and see Chris and Ash tied to chairs in front of me, a table separating them. I hear the sound of a machine starting and I look up and see saws coming down.
"NOOOOOO!" Ash screams.
"Ash! Look at me!" Chris says.
"It's over Chris..." Ashley looks at him.
"Ash they gave me a choice..." Chris brings up a gun.
"CHRIS!" Ash screams.
"It's you or me Ash! And I would always choose you! You know that right..."
Chris points the gun at himself.
"CHRIS NO!" Ash starts to cry.
"I'm not gonna let you and our child die Ash... I'm sorry, I wish I could tell you..."
"Tell me what?.."
Chris puts the gun down on the table and he reaches in to his pocket and pulls out a small box. He struggles to open it but it opens eventually. The moment Ash sees the ring she breaks down.
"CHRIS PLEASE YOU CAN'T DO THIS!"
"I love you Ash..." Chris grabs the gun and points it to his head.
"CHRIS!"
BANG!
I scream as I exit the vision. I stand up and start running to the door.
"I'M FUCKING DONE!" I scream as I run out of the door.
ASHLEY POV
"HAZEL!" I exclaim as I run to follow her. I hear Sam and Jess follow behind me.
I see Z turn the corner and I teleport myself there. She's not far... I teleport behind her and I bring her with me to the floor.
"Z what the heck was that?!" I ask.
"You wouldn't want to know!" Z exclaims.
"What happened back there?" I hear Sam behind me.
"This is why I stopped Ash... Because all I ever see, are shit futures!"
"Tell me! What did you see?" I ask.
"You really want to know?!" Z asks.
I nod...
One hour later...
MIKE POV
I walk up and I'm lying down on the floor. I look to my right and see a note. I reach for it and hold it in front of my face. I start to read it.
Mike,
Since your wasted so hard. I gave up on trying to wake you up... I went out with some friends and yeah... See yah later.
Aurora
I put the paper down and push myself up. I teleport to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. I look like a mess... I grab the razor...
Few minutes later...
I look again at the mirror, a clean shave doesn't change a damn thing. I bend down to wash my face. I look up and see James behind me.
"Miss me?.." He asks.
I turn around and see he isn't there. I look back at the mirror and see that he's not there.I wipe my face with my hands.
I walk into my bedroom and see my phone vibrating. I pick it up and see Sam's name on the screen. I answer.
"Sam?" I start.
"Mike, meet me at my place. Now!" Sam tells me urgently.
I drop the call and teleport to Sam's dorm. I see everyone there, Ash, Chris, Z, Josh, Sam, and Jess. Ash looks like she's been crying for a while.
"What's wrong guys?" I ask.
"James Walker... He's back..."
