Heroes Until Dawn

I stand on the edge on the rooftop of my dorm building. I look down, a ten story tall fall would kill me. I close my eyes, the wind hits my face cooling it. I put my foot out, I move my body forward, and I feel the wind push against my face. I open my eyes and see that I'm falling down. I breath in and close my eyes again. I instantly stop feeling the wind, I open my eyes and see I stopped half way. I slowly turn myself vertically, I look up and fly back to the top of the building.

I feel my feet touch the ground, at the same time feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pull it out and see a new message from Mike.

Mike: Hi, you weren't in your dorm. You said I was suppose to pick you up.

Shit. I forgot about my date with Mike. I instantly text back.

Me: Sorry. Can I meet you in front of the building?

Mike: Sure. I'll se you there love. 

I smile to myself. I don't want to take the elevator, I look at the edge of the roof top. I walk to the edge of the roof top and start flying the moment I move over the edge. I start to fly down to the back part of the building. I reach the ground and start running to the front.

I see Mike just looking down on his phone. I fix my hair and walk to him.

"Hi Mike!" I say with a smile on my face.

"Hi Jess." He says pulling me into a hug.

We pull apart. "how do I look?" I ask him.

"Beautiful as always." He says leaning down to kiss me.

I kiss him back. We stand there kissing for what seemed like a long time. He pulls away, but I push myself forward.

"Woah there. Save some for later." He says with a smile on my face.

"Maybe I will." I say flirtatiously.

Mike wraps his arms around me and start to walk to the restaurant we're eating at. We arrive at the restaurant and ordered our food. The dinner was rather quiet, but it didn't bother me because I'm enjoying the company. 

We finish, pay the bill, and leave the building hand in hand. On the way back, thoughts instantly enter my head. How will I tell Mike about what I can do? Will he still accept me? Would he reject me? Maybe I should keep my mouth shut.

"You've been quiet the whole night. Anything wrong?" Mike asks, I hear the concern in his voice.

"No, it's just I had a really long day." I tell him. I hope he will believe me.

"We all had a long day." Mike says.

I smile. "So what do we do first when we get back?" I ask.

"What do you wanna do?" Mike asks with a grin on his face.

"I think I've got a few ideas." I tell him, winking at him in the end.

"Care to tell?" He asks.

"Shhh, I'll let you know when we get there." I whisper into his ears.

"Your already turning me on Jess." Mike says.

I laugh and lean on him. Maybe I should't tell him, I don't want to lose this.
