SAM POV
Jess and I enter our dorm room. I drop down on my bed and face the wall.
Em's dad has my ability...
"How're you holding up?" Jess asks.
I turn to face her. "Considering that Em's dad and his son have the same powers I do... I feel like shit." I say honestly. "Dying twice... That wasn't fun at all." I add.
"I can't imagine that." Jess says.
We lay in bed with the wind coming out of the vents as our background noise.
"I don't think they're done with us yet..."
JAMES WALKER POV
I look down the edge of the roof top. I watch Mike teleport to someplace I don't know...
"Fuck!.." I say to myself.
"See what happens when you're having too much fun!" I hear my dad behind me.
I turn too look at him. "I almost had him!" I exclaim.
"And yet you let him slip through your fingers..." He says.
"I understand that you're disappointed but-"
"No buts!" He cuts me off. "You want him to pay for his crimes, we are going to do it my way... Let him watch his friends die." He adds.
I suddenly get a hopefully brilliant idea.
"I have another idea... Instead of making him watch his friends die. How bout we make them hate him, leave him." I start.
"I'm listening..." He says.
"We're shapeshifters right... Maybe we can disguise ourselves as his closest friends, leave enough noticeable mistakes to make him turn on his friends... And when the realization hits him. His friends already hate him."
"That's a long process James..." My dad says.
"Don't worry... I can probably get it done within a week... Probably less if the writer is in a good mood." I reply.
My dad only smirks.
One week later...
Week One...
MIKE POV
I enter my room in my apartment. I walk towards my bed and drop down on it. I hear my phone vibrate in my pocket. I adjust myself so I can reach for my phone easier. I slip my phone out of my pocket and see a new number.
new number: Hi Mike! It's Jess, this is my new number... Also I was wondering if we could go out again, just the two of us... ;)
Weird Jess got her new phone three days ago and she gave me her new number immediately... Did she lose her phone again? Then again, Jess is known for losing her phone in a short period of time... No need to be suspicious.
Me: Saved! Do you wanna meet tomorrow?
Jess: That'd be great :)
I smile and slip my phone back into my pocket. I kick my shoes off and drift away...
Next day...
JAMES WALKER POV
I sit on the bench outside the campus coffee shop, I'm disguised as normal bystander. I watch Mike through the glass of the coffee shop.
