"Take the job," He commanded

I looked up at him as he wheeled me out of the hospital. I looked around and sighed. I had a great job and I would miss is. But lets be honest I was only pretending to. I had to face the facts, I couldnt hang without him around.

"I dont know," I said unsure "Australia has treated me well."

"What? How?" He asked appaled "What have they done that I cant? All they've had you do is make them custom cars and allow you free reign of a lab."

"Well..." I hesitated, he swung around in front of my wheel chair and helped me up. Spreading his face into a wide smile as he pulled me into a dancing position. "I'll join in I suppose,"

His smile broadened and he opened up my car door for me. I smiled and swung myself into the passenger seat of the car. I watched as he pushed the wheel chair out with his foot. He came around to the drivers side and climbed into the car. We shot off down the road.

I looked around at him sadly "My Veyron."

He laughed and swung his hand at me.

"Replacable,' He shrugged

I smiled and leaned back in my seat, sighing. Shocking how content one could become in such a short period time.

"You know I have no idea where we are going," He over at me

"Oh yeah, um here." I popped the adress into the GPS.  "That ought to take us there."

We talked about our lives over the past few years. It took a couple of minutes to get there and of course that wasnt enough time. It would never be enough time I thought to myself. I had been spending the last week in the hospital with him. It had been wonderful, I quickly remembered what my old self used to be like. I had changed since I hadnt been around him but I returned to my former glory right away with his presence.

We walked up to the house and rung the door bell. Phoenix came and ansered the door. His eyes grew big as they settled on Tony who grinned at him. He stuck his hand out proudly to Tony who grabbed it and shook it.

"You're Iron Man," He stated wife eyed

"Yeah," Tony smiled

"Wow," he starred up at Tony starry eyes

"Thats all you got to say?" I asked him "Havent seen me in a week and you dont pay any attention to me? Do I just not exsist now?"

He smiled sheepishly and hugged me. He pushed the door open with his foot and lead us inside.

"Daddy has been worrying about you," He stated seriously "He kept wondering if you had finally lost it. I heard him talking about it to Mommy."

"What?" I asked appaled "Why didnt he just call me?"

He just shrugged and led me into the kitchen where Castor was sitting with his head in his hands and Deana holding one of his hands. He looked up and his eyes go wide as he drank in the scene. He pointed accusingly at Tony.  He kicked his chair out from underneath him as he stood up.

"You!" He stalked forward.

I got between them and put my hands up.

"Castor calm down," I put my hands up in front of myself

"No I wont calm down," He said "What the fuck does this bastard want?"

"Uh s'cuse me?" Tony asked, scoffing and looking around "Im sorry but dont I deserve an apology."

Castor squinted at him and then at me.

"Deana," He said slowly "Take Phoenix out."

"Why?" she asked glancing around

"Get out!" he yelled suddenly

Phoenix looked up at him in horror as anger crossed Deana's face. She got out of her chair, grabbed her purse and keys and set out the door. Calling Phoenix behind her, who gave a fearful look at his father and left behind his mother.

Castor watched them leave and at the sounds of their car driving away he slowly looked back at us. His jaw clenched and he motioned for us to sit down. I pulled out a chair, but Tony put a hand on my arm.

"I'm fine standing thanks," He said

"Very well," Castor's nose flarred "I dont appreciate you mentioning my past in front of my family."

"Yeah well there are a number of things you did Castor that I dont appreciate," Tony pulled himself up to his full height "So I geuss this is me getting even."

"Why are you here?" Castor asked angriliy

"I came for Evangeline," Tony said plainly "I might be mistaken but I still didnt hear a sorry."

"Sorry," Castor sighed "What makes you think you can come get Evangeline?"

"I came to take of her." Tony said protevtively

"I take plenty care of her, Im her family. She doesnt need you." Castor spat.

"Yeah, real good job taking care of her. Looks like shes been taking care of you and her. You got married and had a kid and she just gets to come along for the ride. Whats she supposed to think? Hell what is an outsider supposed to think about that?"

"I dont care what you think about it," Castor replied angrily "Gosh you're an idiot. Will you get out of here you selfish bastard? She finally had things figured out."

"Yeah she sure did." Tony nodded angrily "Drinking and falling apart these last six years. She sure had things figured out."

"Will you shut the fuck up man? She was better off than when you were around." he scowled

"I'm not even dealing with this guy," Tony threw his hands up in the air and spun away "I dont have to deal with this guy. I hate family."

"Hey hey," I put my hands up "Both of you calm down. Castor, Tony offered me a job. I took it. He also saved me from a car crash. Not to mention that my life has kind of sucked with out... all that... so its just a thing thats going to happen. Would you really have me going home with a stranger everynight drunk off my ass like I had for those especially rough years? Or is this the better route?"

Castor squinted at me and wiggled his jaw.

"This is better trust me." I waved my hand "I'll be making more money too. So thats always a good thing."

"And building something besides personalized cars," Tony nodded

"Exactly" I nodded.

Castor sighed deeply and nodded his head in agreement.

"Good," Nodded Tony clapping Castors shoulder "Glad we got past that. Oh you should go apologize to your wife. She wont be happy. I recommend flowers, roses, lots of flowers."

Castors lips twitched at a smile. I stood up and walked over pouring Tony and me glasses of wine. Castor looked at me expectantly.

"What you gotta go talk your wife out of taking your kid away from you." I shrugged

He sighed and got up about to leave. He grabbed his keys off the hook and slipped on a jacket.

"Oh by the way I might be gone when you get back. Im heading back to the states. You guys should come with you know." I smiled at him.

He nodded his head from side to side in consideration.

"I'll call you up about it."

"Cool cool," I shouted after him as he left.

I sat back with Tony and took a sip of my wine. Sharing smiles. That had been easier than I thought it woudl have been. Castor has a thing about grudges. What can I say it runs in the family.
