Hello everyone :D Long time no talk. Ever since I decided to shut down the series I've been a tad melancholy. I've lost my passion to write everything else Im writing and I realize now why! Its because I dont have this to write. I dont have all my favorite charecters to talk about. I wouldnt tell you it out loud but I've really gotten l attached to these people. And as a result I have decided to pick up book 3. Its called Absence,  also Im certainly open to suggestions and I really cant wait to start this puppy up. Im super excited and if you look just to the side you'll see my coming soon cover :) Pretty exciting. Any who this is the first chapter of the next book. I just decided to put it up here bfore I go over there. I still have a story plan and everything to put together as well as a couple of other things. Anyway enjoy, and I hope you like it :) I decided the shitty tragic ending I gave you just wasnt good enough for any of us was it? And here...we...go!

Life had gone on as if nothing had happened. Unlike the heroic acts that had come to pass in New York these acts had been in secret. The world didnt know that it had been saved by a force that had constricted it for its entire existence. Only those who knew could appreciate the sacrifice. Although, like any other sacrifice, it was painful and while the world didnt know it, it seemed to have lost some of its light.

Years had passed. The few to witness the events were the only ones to remember and if you looked around you on an ordinary road. Just a ways away from an ordinary town. You wouldnt have the slightest idea that anything had happened or ever would.

Nothing exciting happened in Chappel, Nbraska and nothing ever would. Which is why something exciting happened just out side of the innocent little town standing in the distance. The rain pattered softly on the faded road. The crop's leaves on either side bent to let a rain drop dangle and then fall to the soil beneath it. Clouds had socked in above and the sun had only just fallen, allowing the atmosphere to be lit with a cooling evening light. One that would fade away very soon.

As the rain continued to fall lightly, the clouds above began to gather around and grumble angrily at each other. As the clouds grew angrier and lightning bolt was thrown down and hit that faded, grey, concrete road below. As the ground was stricken with the bolt it cracked. Making a terrible splitting sound disrupt the cool evening air. The sound grew in intensity as the ground pulled apart from itself. Allowing a fiery light to make itself present amongst the once calm area.

As the light in the ground grew so did the hole. The movement suddenly stopped and the terrible sound faded away and was replaced. A hand smacked itself on the edge of the hole. It was deeply scarred and covered with thick red liquid that bubbled angrily on white skin beneath it. The next hand made itself present with a similar smack, the red liquid dripped off onto the grey road at the edge of the hole. There was a low groan uttered as a dark, dripping, figure pulled itself up with great strength. It pulled itself forward onto the level ground and away from whence it came. Rolling away from the hole and onto the grey pavement the figure allowed its face to become visible.

The rain that had grown in intensity was now washing away the dark red liquid from the figure and one could slowly make out the features on the thing. It wasnt something you would expect to crawl from a fiery hole in the ground. As the rain beat down painfully in thick grey curtains it fell in streams and dragged the red liquid from the figure to the ditch on both sides of the road. Wet, curly, dark, hair was splayed out around the figure's head and as tears continued to fall from the sky feminine  features began to make them self present on the once gruesomely covered face. Pale skin and dark eyes looked up into the angry sky as it threw down heavy drops. The mouth of the figure opened wide as it lay on the colorless ground and a high pitched maniacal laugh errupted from the figures maw.

A laugh that filled the air like no thunder storm could. Not even the loud pounding rain could drowned out the sound of that cold laugh that became heartier as it continued. When the figure finally stopped, it gasped for air and began again as it writhed on the ground with strange joy. The events were indescribable and unexplainable.

As the woman continued to laugh as it stumbled down the road the hole in the ground lay gaping as if inviting others from its depths to exit though only the woman ever came. And even as the grey curtains enclosed around her and shielded her from view, her laugh rang through the entire country side and all the way across hundreds of miles to wake a man from his dream in a cold clamy sweat.

A red headed woman beside him in bed put a re-assuring hand on his shoulder. He shrugged it away pulled himself off of silk sheets and walked away and out of the room. Leaving the woman to wonder where he had gone. As his bare feet padded along a cold floor, descending stairs and carrying the man on his way until finally he stopped. He was illuminated by a pale light coming from a glass case. Within it was a large metal suit, built to fit a womanly form. Though the face on the helmet was not like its brother in the cases beside it. Its face was only gold and had intricate markings on it accompanied by jewels that glimmered in the cold light.

The man's dark eyes settled on it and his brow furrowed deeper. His jaw clenched tighter and his lip shook slightly as he pulled them together tightly. He pulled a chair up for himself from the side. Set it directly in front of the metal suit that stood in the middle of the others on display and he heaved himself in the chair heavily. He folded his hands in his lap and clenched them around each other. His hard eyes looked upon the suit glowing in the darkness of his workshop and as his usually straight posture faded he slumped in his chair his eyes still watching the suit sadly.

It was never used, instead, it was a memorial to someone he had once known. Someone who he had once dreamed about, but now was only present in nightmares. Like the one that had awoken him tonight. If you looked carefully at the suit's arm you would see a tiny engraving in the strong un-forgiving metal. It read: If only fate had intervened.

Yep, I left you there. Cliff hangers, as you know, are kinda my specialty. I do love them. This first peek had gone farther than I had intended. Though I must say Im rather happy with it. So as I said before, take a look at the cover, tell me what you think. I doubt I'll keep it, but maybe. And give me your ideas for titles. I need one :) Excellent :) See you very soon :D
