I opened my eyes with defeat. I hadnt been able to get back to sleep. I had teetered somewhere between sleep and wake for far too long and I was done. I looked over and Tony, feeling my eyes on him, looked back at me. He had come into the my room some time in the night. He was lying down beside me on the twin bed. I was squished against the wall, trying to give him enough room.

"Get any more sleep?" He asked warily

"No," I sighed "Did you?"

"Nope," he popped the P.

"Well at least theres someone to suffer with me." I laughed

He chuckled and fixed the pillow beneath his head. He threw his arm out to the side and I layed my head on it turning on to my side to talk to him.

"I forgot to tell you," He smiled "Cool shoes."

"Oh thanks." I chuckled "Phoenix got a pair too. I figured we should be twinzies."

He smiled to himself and looked up at the ceiling.

"Why were you so freaked out last night?" He asked

"Weird dreams." I rolled my eyes "Though its nice to have dreams again."

"Again? You didnt before?" He looked over at me

"No, after I became a...a.." I still had a hard time saying it. "An agent of fate I stopped having them. Im not sure why. But I remember now that I used to like dreams. They always give you something to talk about in the morning and something to occupy your time while you sleep."

"I always foind dreams exhausting," Tony sighed "Which is contradictory to sleeping."

"That is until I filled them." I smiled at my own joke.

He nodded with sarcastic exageration "Oh yes, thats right. Until you filled them baby."

I laughed and he grinned down at me. Sighing I sub-conciously brought my hand up to his chest. He sighed and put his hand over mine.

"What are we doing here?" I asked

"Laying on a bed," He smiled

"I saw that," I chuckled "But um... what are WE doing together?"

"What you need labels?" He smiled

"I need labels," I jokingly demanded

"Well," He hesitated, his eyes went away from me to the ceiling "Im not sure."

"You're still with Pepper?" I sighed, resting my face on his arm and savoring the sparks that shocked between us.

"Yeah," He nodded "But so are we."

"So what am I?" I shook my head "The other woman?"

He laughed and shook his head "If anything she is."

I looked up into his eyes and he looked down at me "I'm just using this time to think right now. I need to make some decisions and at the moment I cant say what exactly we are. So no labels yet."

He smiled warm heartedly at me and I returned the smile. I inched up to him and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around me and put his cheek on the top of my head.

"I dont know whats happening right now." He sighed and shook his head "I cant keep anything straight. Im just glad I have you back. Thats the only thing I know and can really be sure of."

I smiled at him and we went back to sleep. Somehow him saying those words made me relax enough and took a burden off of both of us to get back the sleep we needed.
