Wishes

Chapter 4

"Nico put down Bell's doll and come here." Man as the minutes go by Bell and Nico have augured over the TV remote and when Bell got it he went to get revenge by taking her doll which left me having to stop them arguing by bribing them with some candy. 

"Delilah can you please give me a piggyback ride?" He looked at me with his puppy dog eyes while my heart melted at how cute it was when I gave in to his request.

"Ok. Now if I am going to give you a ride you have to give me some maltesers." He slowly scrunched up his face before he smiled and just continued eating as I frowned at him before turning round to go get my own lollies. All of a sudden something heavy crashed onto my back holding on tight waiting for a ride just before a hand waved the chocolaty goodness in my face for my payment. We waited for his brother to come while I gave Nico a piggyback around the house before I sat down with Bell sitting next to me munching on a cookie just before she asked me something.

"Hey Del can I have some ice-cream now?" I smiled as she looked up at me with the want of ice-cream in her eyes.

"Maybe after dinner ok." She nodded and I went back to piggybacking Nico some more just when the ringing of the door bell echoed over our laughter. I hurried over to the door just before I dropped Nico onto the couch and  twisted the knob while Nico came over holding the lollies with a huge smile on his face while he waited for me to open the door. Turning the knob I found a guy standing there with bits of his black hair dangling in his face while his brown eyes widen as he saw me. All of a sudden he smirked at Nico from seeing him holding a huge bag of lollies swinging in his hands.

"Hey Delilah." Looking at the guy I realized he looked familiar with his smirk and eyes that was when it clicked.

"Omg you are that dude that was smirking and grinning at me you weirdo." I was staring at him as he smirked some more.

"Yeah, but my name is Jace and I am here to pick up my friends little brother." Nico came rushing over to Jace as I slowly took the lollies away from him as he hugged Jace's leg while Bell came and stood behind me holding onto my pants leg scared of the guy at the door.

"LACEY!!" Nico shout as he squished him in a huge hug while I tried not to laugh at them.

"Hey buddy my name is not Lacey its Jace. I came to pick you up okay cause you brother had to do something, but at least I am here and I came with a crunchie." As Jace leaned down to tell him that I saw Nico's eyes brighten at the idea of more candy as Jace pulled it out of his pocket sending it into Nico nearly sugar rushed hands. I watched Jace carefully just before I quickly plopped the bag of lollies on the coffee table whilst Jace stepped in the house and walked over to the guitar hiding in the corner behind the grand piano. Looking at the guitar and piano brought back the memories of dad trying to teach us the guitar, but failing at the piano only leaving us to know a bit of it even though I don’t play it. I saw his eyes widen at the guitar as he picked it up making me want to rip it out of his hands and place it back in its rightful place.

"“Wow! This is some pretty sweet piece of guitar.” He finally placed the crème/dark blue guitar down making me sigh in relief whilst he walked back over to the door with Nico in tow.

“Well Delilah thanks for looking after Nico and sweet guitar. Maybe you could teach me how to use it someday." He grinned at that last sentence as Bell came over to Nico and hugged him good bye as they left.

"See you at school tomorrow." Jace shouted out of the car as Nico ate the chocolate bar while Bell waved at them with too much enthusiasm. I closed the door and started to clean the house from having Nico and Bell running around being silly. I looked over to Bell as she was playing with her gold locket as she watched me tidy, but before I could finish she started to cry.
