Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours, hours turned into days and days turned into weeks. This is what everything felt like from what had happened after my mental break down from the news I was given about Liam and mum. Nothing was right from the incident after me getting blown off the rope course to my death only to end up home where my mum took my place in the afterlife and Liam was in a coma instead of her. Bell was back with me, but she usually spent more time with Nico's family after finding out what happened on that day and a few days after.

When I went woke up the next day after me waking up and my break down the spot next to me where Jace laid was empty leaving me to find my own way down stairs where the guitar was gone and the area was clean and back to normal. I didn't even seem to care that someone had cleaned the house and left I just grabbed myself a piece of toast waiting for the weekend to finish.

Coming out of my daze thinking of what had happened after that week I looked down at the pair of roses and lilies arranged in the bouquet I held in front of me. Even though I brought the lovely arranged lot of flowers I knew he wouldn't be able to see or smell them in his state. The grey coloured wall brought a sense of dread as I walked over to the oval shaped desk hoping the admin would help.

"Hello Miss. I was wondering if I could have Liam Mortis's new room number?" She looked up from her desk showing me a forced smile before looking him up.

"He's in room 114." I thanked her before I headed over to the elevator with a forced smile like hers plastered onto my face. Pushing the button I waited for the elevator to ping open whilst I looked around at the scene in front of me. My eyes wandered around to see people getting rushed into surgery some hanging round with nothing to do and some on their death beds.

Moving my gaze away the elevator finally pinged open and I hopped in pressing floor 90 wanting only to get there quicker without having to see more there is to come. Holding on tightly to the flowers I waited for the floor to come as the numbers flashed at me as I felt a bead of sweat roll down my head from the heat.

Finally the door opened making sigh with relief whilst I noticed a girl with long dark brown hair swaying behind her sneak away from her room. I watched as she looked over me before she continued to leave her room probably to wander. Focusing back on what I was doing I looked along the corridor to find his room.

"112, 113 ah ha 114." I mumbled to myself as I finally found his room in this groggy hospital. Pushing the door open I found his usual self laying down on the bed with his dirty blond hair hid under the bandage with cuts and bruises healing. I felt like crying seeing him like this knowing I held no more tears. Even though they put him in a new room I was happy they still keep the flowers I gave him last time. Removing the wilting flowers I put in the new bunch hoping he will be able to see them soon. Once my attention was focused back on Liam I walked over to a seat pulling it closer to the bed as I grabbed a hold of his hand.

"Liam I wish you could just wake up." Staring at his closed eyes I wished that my violet ones could connect with his warm brown eyes making me know he is ok. Rubbing circles on his hand I felt the time slip away from me as I sat there waiting for him to wake knowing it could be within a matter of seconds or days.

"Why did you have to do that Liam?" Still hoping that he would answer me after all the times I asked him I knew it wouldn't happen. I found my head laying on the bed next to our intertwined hands showing me he was still here in a way. I closed my eyes remembering all the good times we had together when I heard the click of heels fill my ears. Lifting my head I looked over to the door to see a girl with dark ginger hair and hazel eyes staring at me.

"Hey Eva." She nodded at me before she took a sip of her latte and walked over to grab another seat next to Liam. I looked her over again as she looked just like I felt with her hair in a messy bun, tattered jeans, baggy top and her small heeled ballet flats. She looked like everything around her would soon crumble from the look in her eyes knowing what she felt for Liam.

"How have you been Delilah?" I watched as her expression softened looking over at Liam before turning back to me.

"I've been ok. It's just I miss Liam right now and having him and Bell together in the house like old times." Sighing at my words I let go of Liam hand as I leaned back in the chair. I watched as she threw the cup away trying to act normal. Even knowing my feelings on what happened I knew that Eva was taking it hard.

"What about you? How are you?" I watched as her expression changed and before I knew it I saw tears starting to leak down her face.

"I don't know how I am. All I know is I never got to tell him I loved him." Getting out of my seat I walked over to Eva and pulled her into a hug.

"It's ok Evangeline. You will get to tell him, but not now." She lifted her head up showing me the bags under her eyes knowing she has been just as worried as me.

"But you don't know what will happen. He may be like this for ages." Pulling out of the hug I took hold of Eva's shoulder looking straight into her eyes.

"Evangeline Lilith Mars if you think that way he wouldn't, but if you think positive and continued to try help him he will wake and show you he loves you as much as you love him." She nodded at my comment before she pulled me into another hug.

"I will try Delilah and can you please not play the full name card." We laughed at her last comment just before we pulled out of the hug.

"Did you know that sometimes people in a coma can hear you? Maybe you could tell him that way then for real." She smiled at me just as she looked over to him making her smile widen knowing that this is the start for them. When we pulled apart I looked over to Liam just before I walked over to him. Kissing the top of his head I leaned over to his ear and whispered into it hoping he could hear me.

"Please wake up and tell Eva how you really feel about her before it's too late big brother." A smile found its way onto my face as I pulled the stray hair out from his eyes just before I hugged Eva good bye. Leaving the gloomy hospital I felt happy from seeing Liam knowing I would be just as I spotted the same girl hopping into a car with a tall muscular brown hair guy. She turned her head towards me knowing we might meet again with a smile on her face as she waved good bye to each other. Once I watched her leave with a smile on her face I found mine staying there making everything seem ok.

Finally making it to Liam's car I pulled out the keys and hopped into the car hoping there were still some spaces left where I was going. Once I pulled out of the hospital parking lot I flipped on the radio to hear 'Radioactive' by imagine dragons playing. I started singing along to the song whilst the scenery around me changed from the gloomy hospital to a place full of laughter and boring school work.

Finally making my way to school I pulled into the parking lot to find the only spot right next to the one person I don't want to see right now. Turning the car off I pulled out the keys and grabbed my bag before I hopped out locking the car behind me. When I turned to face the red bricked school I took a deep breath in ready to face the rest of the day even if it is 4th period is nearly finished. Finding my way to my class I pushed the grey door open only to find students scribbling away notes and the teacher writing along the white board. Looking over to Phoebe I knew these next few days will be different for everyone.
