When I walked over to the grey class I pushed open the door open to find Phoebe and the others scribbling away whilst the teacher continued to write stuff down while I knew what would happen next.

"Miss Mortis where have you been?" I looked over at Mrs Gretel handing over a card telling her where I was instead of having to tell here in front of everyone. She nodded at the slip and signaled for me to take a seat. I plopped down next to Phoebe and pulled out my book and pen and started to scribble down the notes. I felt something nudge my arm making me look at Phoebe.

"Where were you?" She whispered whilst trying to write her notes down quickly before Mrs Gretel rubbed it off to place more. Thinking over what to tell her I just thought to keep it simple about where I was.

"I was seeing Liam." Her face softened at my words as she pulled me into a quick hug before she went back to her notes.

"When I went to see him I saw Eva." Whispering the last part she looked up to me with a sad expression as she probably thought of her sisters behavior over these past few weeks.

"Eva isn't doing very well with what happened if you can tell already. She spends most weekends there or even takes a few days off from school to check up on him. Everyone is worried about her, Liam and you." The expression she held told me everything stirring up my emotions until I went back and focused on the writing on the board hoping for it to distract me. Time seemed to feel like hours as I waited for the bell to ring and the teacher to stop rambling on about random stuff.

Once the bell finally rang I darted out the class with my stuff and decided to go to the one place where I won't get bugged about what's happening. Making my way to the library I could feel a certain stare burning into me making me turn to see his forest green eyes connect with mine making a shiver run down my spine. His face showed it all making me do the only thing I could think of which was darting to the library. I squeezed passed people rushing through the halls to the library hoping to get away from him and to somewhere peaceful. Finally reaching the glistening oak doors I pushed them open to reveal a bustling lot of people go in and out of the library whilst the tranquilly of it all stayed in place. Once I made my way over to all the books I dragged my hand across the old, worn and new books loving the feel as it brought memories of the book worm version of me. Suddenly stopping I felt my hand cradle around a certain book making me stare over at the title ‘Myths, legends, creatures and death.’

Frozen at what I picked I felt myself pick it up and end up at a lonely corner only to read for ages until the bell rang. Rushing over to the desk I rang the bell quickly hoping I could get this out quickly and still get to class on time. A lovely looking lady with her hair tied up in a messy bun quickly hopped over to the desk waiting for me to pass her the book.

“Well what an interesting pick.” She beamed a bright smile at me before I handed her my card hopping I could make it out of here to music quickly.

“I hope you like the book and come back soon.” She smiled as she left to the back office leaving me to stuff the book in my bag and head to class. The corridors looked empty while I walked along as I could hear the shouting of teachers while others were quite. Spotting the room number I rushed open making sure I pulled the door open without disturbing anyone or anything in the class. Yet even opening the doors couldn’t stop all the stares that came my way as I entered the class whilst it went silent.

“Sorry I’m late I was just getting something out.” I mumbled to Mrs Summer just before I made my way over to Phoebe and Natasha plopped down in between them. Once I had finally sat down Mrs Summers started talking again making me looking around and daydream just as I noticed Jace sitting in the corner with his friends. For some reason my eyes stayed on him until he turned and our eyes connected making a shiver run up my spine again and Mrs Summer’s word finally work its way into my ears.
