So Much For My Happy Ending

Chapter 2

(Stripes POV)

Does she always have to walk off like that? She's so happy and cheerful it almost makes me want to make her my- I can't think that. I mean she's my best friend! She'd want me to keep it like that. But she makes me so happy I-

"Zel which way is locker 1013? I can't seem to... oh there it is!!"

Zoey dragged me along as she ran up to her locker shoving the materials required for her other classes. "Hey!! I have to get to my locker too!!" I joked. "You're right next to me silly! 1014." She laughed.. I love her laugh and the way it makes me smile. She's so wonderful an-

"Zel!! Helpp!!" Xoe shrieked. Her yelling snapped me out of my day dream. I really need to stop doing that! I mentally slapped myself and looked over at Xoe.

The contents of her locker were spilling out into the hallway and I rushed to help her with her collapsing shelf. I steadied her shelf and push the contents back inside as she picked up her materials that had fallen on to the floor. I laughed and brushed the hair out of her eyes while she slammed her locker shut. "Okay ready to go?"

"I need to go cram my stuff into my locker first Xoe!" She giggled and adjusted her instruments and agreed. I quickly shoved everything in and we walked to the orchestra room arms linked as best friends. God this was going to be one hell of a year.

(Conner's POV)

I rushed to the orchestra room to wait for Xoe. I wanted to know more about her. I just met her but something about her wanted me to smile and just be with her all the time. I wanted to make sure no one ever hurt her and that no one would ever dare try to do anything that would harm her. I heard the doors open and slam and she walked into the room, arms linked with Stripes.

I got up from my seat and rushed to the doors eager to talk to Xoe again. She was always glowing and it was so fun to talk to her... 

"Zel remember that time when you accidently spilt the-" Stripes's hand went over her mouth silencing her making her laugh the laugh I loved so much.

"Shush!!!"

She pulled his hand away and looked at me, "Hey Conner!! What's up!! Where do we sit? What do we do? I'm so lost here and I'm totally clueless ha ha," She said with enthusiasm filling her voice.

 "Free seating all week and we get our placement the week after next" I informed her "Sweet! Can I sit with you? Come on Zel!! Unless you want to sit with someone else... I'm so excited OMG!" Xoe was filled with excitement and it made us laugh.

"Nah let's go Mrs. Bubbly. After class I'll walk you to Mrs. Docks since she's right next to Mrs. Goodwell and then I'll walk you up to Mr. Beans cuz we have the same class" "Sure I can't wait!!" Xoe said with happiness bursting through her. I'd be thinking of her all day...
