I watched the trees as they zoomed by. Blaze and Conner were arguing about something while Zel and Melanie chatted. Kenzlie sat next to Melanie and putting in a word or two every once in awhile. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti-social or anything. I just happen to love quietness a whole bunch.
“Fine you win! I was just trying to prove a point!” Conner said ending their dispute once and for all.
Zel turned around to face Blaze and said, “I think Conner is right though.”
I chucked to myself. The boys fought a lot but I wasn’t really worried because like I said, they did it all the time. It wasn’t a big deal because after awhile they’d agree on something and then move on being perfectly happy. I tried not to pick sides for most of the part because they would later use my siding against me when I had an opinion on the matter.
“See I told you!” Conner shouted back at Blaze.
I rolled my eyes and plugged my sound blocking earphones in, drowning out Blaze’s retort and I looked back out the window. I was so excited to be at the camp because there were so many awesome things hat we would be doing but bunk time would be my favorite. I had already glanced at the summarized itinerary and I didn’t have a single activity without one of my friends.
I continued looking out at the trees that were whipping past us on the bumpy bus. I felt like I was going to jump out of my seat. Blaze reached out and pulled out one side of my earphones and asked me to pick a side to be on.
I rolled my eyes. “What are we arguing about now?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The bus stopped just outside of the main lodge and we all lugged our luggage in to make sure everyone was accounted for. Kenzlie, Melanie and I ran our lodge and picked the top bunks in the middle. They were all connected together so we would have the entire top to ourselves. We laughed and put up our stuff and went off to the cabin across from us to meet up with the boys to have dinner.
We laughed at the boys and how they argued about who got which bunk and what they were going to do for Free Time. The guys fought like they always did while Melanie, Kenzlie and I talked about the activities for the next day. We looked over the itinerary and we were super excited.
"NO WAY!!! WE GET TO GO CANOE-ING?!!" Melanie practically screamed.
"OMG I ALWAYS WANTED TO GO HORSEBACK RIDING!!" Kenzlie yelled.
I wasn't really surprised at their reactions because I had the same ones earlier. The boys looked at us flatly as if we were over reacting. We shut up, not wanting them to yell at us but we talked quietly about what we were going to do throughout the week and how were were supposed to get the essays done in time and what not.
The boys were planning something we couldn't hear but it didn't matter because we were so excited for the coming week I would burst.
Kenzlie looked like she was about to burst and Melanie was hyper like always. My friends were a lot like me. What I didn’t know was that this could end badly…
A/N: DUN DUN DUUUNNN!!! What do you guys think will happen? If you guys want to know their entire week at camp tell me but I didn’t want to bore you with a bunch of blah blah. I might post a short story of their week some other time. ;) Oh and BTW this is just a filler for you guys. The next chapter is a lot better ;) Like always thanks so much for reading it means a lot!
