“So The Elena Vandus is marrying the Brad Hathern. Who knew this day would happen,” Saben teased as she entered the room. “Are you excited?”
Elena rolled her eyes. “What do you think?” She stood and went to look out the window. People were everywhere running about getting everything ready. Sighing she turned to Saben. “Where shall we start?”
Saben chuckled. “Hair, makeup, dress.”
“Can I come in?” Nicole asked as she poked her head in the door. “Aww don’t you look amazing.”
“Thanks.” Elena smiled. “But we still have makeup and the dress to go.” Saben had pulled Elena’s hair into a side bun with an ivory flower but strains hung down around her face.
“Well I figured I would come in since the bitch refuses to have anything to do with you while I’m around.” Nicole shook her head. “Elizabeth is the biggest bitch I’ve ever met. I’m sorry you’ve had to put up with her and think you actually came from the devil herself.”
Both Elena and Saben laughed. “Nicole would you like to do her makeup?” Saben asked.
“I would love to. Thank you.” Nicole came and started to work on Elena. “Elena I would like if we could get to know each other more. These few weeks have been fun but I have to go back a Paris but I would every much like to keep talking and get to know you more.”
“Of course! I didn’t track you down for nothing.” Elena hugged her.
“Elena you look breath taking,” her father said as he came in the room. She was dressed in a white lace dress that had lace shoulders but the back was open and cut down into a v. It was tight till it mermaid out around her thighs and it had an ivory lace belt.
“Thank you.” She hugged him. “Ready?”
“Yeah but…” He turned to Nicole. “I’m really glad Elena found you. I was stupid for letting my family coming between us. But I’m glad you’re back for Elena. I know she needs you now, she always did we all know Elizabeth was never a mother.”
Nicole nodded. “The whole world knows that but as I told Elena I’m glad she found me too. I would have never come back but I’m so glad I am.” She hugged Elena. “You’re an amazing girl and even though I’ve only been around a few weeks I wouldn’t be more proud of you.”
Elena smiled and hugged her. “Thank you.”
“Alright were we should get going.” He held out his arm and Elena took it. He led her down the hall to the entry of the sanctuary. “Elena I just wanted to tell you I love you and I couldn’t be more proud of you. I know I haven’t always been there for you but you’re such an amazing young woman that any man would be proud to call his daughter.”
“Aw thank you Daddy.” Elena reached up and kissed his cheek.
“I can’t remember the last time you called me Daddy.”
She shrugged. “I figured I would do it for old time’s sake before I get married.”
Music started and the bridesmaids started to go through the doors. “Ready?” Henry asked.
