I gulped starting to get really nervous. Abigail and her brothers had gotten up and walked over to the rest of the band and grabbed their instruments. "Right, ok." I said showing Elizabeth a fake smile, which she bought and walked away.

"Don't worry, you'll do great." My mom told me encouragingly.

"Thanks." I said walking over to the rest of the group and grabbed my guitar.

Everyone got in their places with their instruments ready and I stood in front of them all mentally freaking out. 'Oh my god! I can't believe I'm actually about to do this. What if I mess up? I'm gonna look like a fool in front of everyone!'

I was brought out of my thoughts by a hand on my shoulder. I turned my head to see Abigail give me a reassuring smile, "Don't worry. If we fail, we fail together. Then we can all look like fools, together."

I smiled back at her feeling better. She moved back to her place ready to begin. I felt more confident knowing that she'll always be there for me. I gave the sign to begin and the music began to play.
