"Congratulations, it's a girl." The doctor told us. She handed mom the baby all wrapped up nicely. Mom sat up and took the baby into her arms."Thank god it's a girl. I didn't want to try and potty train a boy." She said jokingly. Dad walked over and looked down at his new child's face. "I named (Y/N), so it's your turn." She smiled up at him.
He thought for a moment then placed his hand gently on the baby's head, "Tsukiko Magnolia Elaine Ackerman."(In case you were wondering, Tsukiko is a Japanese name that means: moon child. Your welcome👍)
"What's with the Magnolia Elaine part?" Connie asked.
"Elaine is my mom's maiden name and Magnolia is just a middle name in honor of a close family friend. Like how my name is, (Y/N) Church Elaine Ackerman." I explained.
"Alright, I assume you already know how to take care of her, but if there's anything wrong I'll come as soon as I can but other than that I'll be on my way." The doctor said and left but not before sending me an annoyed glare. It must have been extremely annoying to have me come in every 5 minutes and pester them.
"Why don't you all go get some sleep, we're leaving at 7." Dad told us.
We agreed and dragged our tired body's back downstairs and I helped them set up a sleeping area. When they were all settled I went upstairs to my room and collapsed on my bed face first into my pillow instantly falling asleep.
~Levi's POV~
They walked out ready to sleep. 'Finally they're gone.'
I sat back down in the chair next to Annabell. Tsukiko was asleep in her arms. "You don't have the money for them both." I told her calmly.
She looked at me then at the baby. "I'll get a job."
"You're going to leave them home alone?"
"(Y/N)'s old enough to be home alone."
"Would you really feel safe about leaving them home alone?" I could see the tears in her eyes.
"I would feel less safe about letting her join the Survey Corps."
I sighed and moved from my chair onto the bed next to her. I wrapped my arm around her and she rested her head on my shoulder.
"Tsukiko is your first priority now. (Y/N) will stay with me, we'll train her better than the trainees camp. She'll be one of our best soldiers."
She curled up against me, holding our child between us, and started crying. After she got it all out I took Tsukiko and put her in her crib which was at the foot of our bed. Then I slid into bed next to Annabell and held her. She rested her head on my chest and we fell asleep.
~Mini time skip to morning for breakfast~
~Normal POV~
Everyone sat around the table except Annabell and Levi. Levi was making breakfast for everyone and Annabell was still in her bedroom breastfeeding Tsukiko. Levi served everyone their breakfast and when Annabell came down, after tucking in Tsukiko, he handed her a plate of food as well. They ate in silence like usual waiting for someone to speak up.
"So did you catch anything good yesterday?" Annabell asked.
"Yeah!" Eren got excited. "Armin, Mikasa and I caught this giant Elk!"
"But I would say Mikasa did most of the work." Armin said.
"I pretty much did all of the work." Mikasa said.
"I expect no less from a woman." Annabell commented.
(Y/N) felt like Levi just kicked her in the stomach. She felt like a disgrace to her parents and she hasn't even told them yet. 'If that's how she thinks I might as well start calling myself a man.'
The room was once again filled with silence. The atmosphere of the room was heavy do to what Annabell last said. The cries of an infant broke through the silence alarming Annabell. She got up and went to check on her crying baby.
When she was upstairs and out of earshot Connie leaned in, just to make sure she definitely won't hear, and asked in a whispery voice, "Why is she so sexist towards men?" This is something everyone was wondering and they were greatful he had asked first.
"She just had a bad experience when she was younger." Levi answered.
"What do you mean?" Hanji asked.
"It's not my place to tell you." Levi took a sip of his tea.
"Can you at least tell why she hates us?" Eren asked his Corporal.
"She doesn't hate any of you. She just dislikes you boys."
"But why?"
Levi set his cup down and crossed his arms sitting back in his chair. "She dislikes all men until they can prove themselves worthy of her liking. And just to let you guys know, your not doing a very good job."
"How do we prove worthy, sir?" Armin asked.
They all stared at their Corporal desperate for an answer. "Don't be men." Was all he said as he stood and took everyone's dishes and brought them to the sink.
They all stared at him dumbfounded. Jean sprung up from his seat, chair almost falling over, "What the hell does that even mean?!" He yelled. Levi turned to face him, scaring the young horse with an intimidating stare. "Sir" Jean added hoping to not die today.
"Just don't act perverted or interested in women. If you do that and let her warm up to you, you'll be fine."
"That means stop asking about (Y/N)." Hanji added while Sasha snickered.
"What?" (Y/N) asked.
"The boys were really interested in you yesterday." Hanji informed the girl.
"Yeah, really interested. They wouldn't stop asking about you." Sasha wiggled her eyebrows.
"Look I already have to deal with Ackerley and Akio and I'm not really interested in dating." She told the male soldiers.
"No! It not like that!" They all protested.
"Hey, keep it down!" Annabell lectured the boys as she entered the room baby in arms.
She walked over to Levi and nervously said, "You should be leaving soon." He gave a small nod and turned to his daughter.
"Pack up, (Y/N). Your coming with."
