"So, what do you want to do tonight?" Mason asks, throwing a ball at the wall.
"I don't know. What do you want to do?" I ask, running a hand through his hair.
"I don't kn- oh god, keep doing that." He say, throwing his had back.
"Does that turn you on?" I ask, with a smirk.
"Maybe." He turns around, a smile etched on his face.
"Nasty. You're nasty." I say, laughing and getting up.
"Aww, come on." He says, rolling over on his stomach to look at me.
"Nah." I say, walking out of my room and going into the kitchen.
It's been 4 months since Michael left. The day we got the letter and hat was the last time we all have talked to him. Mason moved into town about 2 weeks later and started working at the diner. He and I hit it off pretty well and we've been dating for about 2 months now. I haven't forgotten about Michael. Not one minute goes by with thoughts of him coming to mind. I have the hat he gave me in my room. A lot of things remind me of him now a days.
"Hey. You seem like you're deep in thought." Mason says, coming up behind me.
"Yeah, just thinking about some things." I say, opening the refrigerator.
"What were you thinking about?" He asks.
"Just things." I say.
"Was it Michael?" He asks.
"Yeah." I say, "I'm sorry."
"Don't be. He was basically your first love and he just left. I don't blame you thinking about him sometimes." Mason says, spinning me around to face him. "If you ever want to talk about him, you can talk about him to me."
"Kind of weird talking about my ex boyfriend with my now boyfriend." I say, laughing.
"Not a lot of guys are as understanding as me." He says, smiling.
"I'm glad you're understanding." I say, leaning my head against his.
"Just call me Mr. Understanding." He says, causing me to laugh. He pulls my face up to his and kisses me.
"Should I come back?" Luke's voice booms into the room.
"Yes." Masons says, turning around and flipping Luke off.
"Watch is buddy." Luke says.
"What are you going to do bro?" Mason says, mockingly.
"I'll hit you." Luke says, trying to keep a straight face.
"Luke, you're dying to laugh." I say, laughing.
"No I'm not." Luke says, looking at me, the side of his mouth twitching up.
"You are both idiots." I say, grabbing a water from the fridge and going into the living room.
"Okay, do you guys have any plans for tonight?" Luke asks, following us into the living room.
"Nothing. We were trying to figure out something actually." Mason says.
"Well, know you have plans. We're going to a party." Luke says.
"We are?" I ask. "Parties aren't my things." I say.
"It's not big party. Calum is hosting it." Luke says.
"Calum's hosting a party? And you're wanting to go?" I say.
"Mandy, he never has those kind of parties when it's just a small gathering. Also, he never supplies the stuff. Some asshole decides to bring it and he just doesn't stop them." Luke says.
"Let's hope no asshole shows up." I say, getting up and putting my shoes on.
"Let's go party." Mason says.
------------------------------
"I thought this was a small gathering." I yell to Luke.
"I did too. He told me it was." Luke says, looking around, I'm guessing trying to find Calum.
"Hey guys!" Calum says, coming over to us.
"I thought it was a small gathering, Cal?" Luke asks.
"It was suppose to be, but the word got out and people just started showing up. You know me, I can't tell people no, Luke." Calum says. "One good thing, no one has brought anything illegal yet." Calum smiles.
"I'm honestly surprised." I say.
"Me too." Calum says. "So, is you guys want, walk around, get some drinks, make new friends. I don't know."
"Thanks Cal." Mason says. We all walk outside to the patio and find Kaitlyn, Lauren, and Ashton sitting outside.
"Is this where the cool kids hang?" I ask walking out.
"Yeah, sorry you'll have to go." Lauren says, laughing.
"Okay, sassy pants." I say, pulling one of the chairs out.
"Did Calum give you the whole spell about how this was suppose to be a small gathering, but then the word got out?" Ashton asks.
"Of course. He probably has that phrase memorized." Luke says.
"Probably." Kaitlyn says. We're all silent for awhile until Lauren breaks it.
"I'm sorry, but this has been on my mind lately, but it feels weird." She says.
"What feels weird?" I ask.
"This." She says, motioning around to everyone. "It feels like something is missing and there is and we don't know where it is."
"It doesn't want to be found, Lauren." I say, looking down. I feel Marson rub his hand over my back.
"Why? That has been the one thing on my mind. Why? Why would he leave his friends behind? Why would he lie to all of us? Why would he let something control him to the point where he doesn't want help?" Lauren says, tears wielding up in her eyes.
"I wish I knew." I say, feeling a tear slid down my cheek. No one talks. The only sound is the night and the party going on inside. Soon Calum comes running to the door.
"Guys!" He says.
"What's the matter?" Ashton asks. "You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Uhmm, we kind of have a problem inside." He says, "I need help." We all run inside behind Calum and end up in the living room.
"I'M BACK BITCHES!" A voice yells, followed by the whole place erupting into cheers.
"I don't know what to do!" Calum says, running his hands through his hair.
"You're joking with me right now. That's not him!" Luke says.
"It is." Calum says.
"What's going on?" I ask, joining up to Calum and Luke.
"Just look, but I don't think you'll like what you see." Luke says. I move around a couple of people to get inside the circle. I'm shocked with what I see in front of me. A guy who is very skinny and very pale, has some white powder scattered around him on a table, with people cheering.
"No way." I say.
"I told you." Luke says, coming up behind me.
"That's not him." I say, shaking my head.
"It is Mandy, come on. Let's go before he se-"
"Mandy?"
"Michael?"
