The water tower.
I haven't been up here in awhile. Now it's the only place I go to, besides work and home. I hardly go home. Last night, I accidentally, fell asleep and my aunt had a search hunt going around for me.
I look out over the land down below me. Thinking about life and what the hell has happened to it. I put the cigarette between my lips and breathe in.
"So life must be the stressful for you to take up smoking." The voice startles me, causing me to jump back. "Be careful sweetheart." Michael says, laughing.
"You caused my life to become so stressful." I say, blowing smoke into his face.
"That oddly turned me on." He smiles.
"Don't, werido." I say, trying not to laugh.
"Do it. I see you trying to stop it. Smile for me baby." He says, getting closer to me.
"I'm not your baby anymore." I say, moving away from him.
He stops and sits down, "I know." He says, looking down.
We sit there in complete silence before I speak up, "Why?"
"What?" He asks.
"Why did you do it?" I ask, not looking at him.
"I don't know. I'm an idiot." He says, putting his face in his hands, "I lost the best thing that has ever happened to me, honestly." He says.
"Michael." I say.
"Why do you keep saying my name?" He lifts his head from his hands and looks at me.
"Cause, I honestly don't know what to say to you." I say.
"Tell me you forgive me." He says.
"You're asking to much. It's not going to take you saying you're an idiot for me to forgive you." I say.
"Then what will it take?" He asks, grabbing both my hands. "I'll do absolutely anything."
"I don't know. I don't know if I can forgive you." I say, looking back down.
"Come on Mandy. Please just give me another chance." He says.
I sit there and think about it. I seriously don't know what to do. Michael makes my life a living hell, but he makes it interesting. He is nice, funny, and sometimes caring, but then sometimes he can be a dick and an asshole. I just don't know what to do.
"Amanda Lane, will you please accept my apology? You don't have to take me back, we can work back up to a relationship, but please. My life has been a living hell without you." He says.
"I'm not saying I'm forgiving you, but we can start all over." I say.
"Okay, I'm fine with that." He says, smiling. "Hello, my name is Michael Clifford." He says, holding his hand out to me.
"Amanda Lane." I say, shaking his hand.

"I am not getting a dog. I already have to clean up after Luke, I don't need another mess to clean up after." Michael says, laughing.
"It would add life to your house." I say, pointing to the grey walls, "It's so plain Mike."
"You haven't called me Mike in forever." He says, smiling.
"Mike, Mike, Mike. Happy?" I say, smiling.
"What the hell?" Luke says, standing in the doorway. Michael and I look up at him.
"Hey Luke." I say.
"So have you guy made up?" Luke asks, walking into the living room slowly.
"Not exactly, but we agreed to start over." Michael says, looking over at me, winking.
"Thank god!" Luke says, throwing his hands up in the air. Michael and I both look at each other confused and then back to Luke, "I was afraid everything would be awkward. Remember I live here with the asshole." Luke says.
"Hey, it fella." Michael says. "Do you guys want to order pizza?" He says, getting up and going into the kitchen and then coming back with a pizza menu.
"Yeah sure." I say. I'm glad Michael and I are on good terms for right now.
"Always down for pizza bro." Luke says.
"Never say bro." Michael says, sitting down on the couch next to Luke.
"Who picked out the seating?" I asked, going further down into the chair I was sitting in, "It feels like I'm sitting in heaven."
"I picked out the heaven in the form of seating." Michael says.
"This feels incredible!" I say.
"You want it?" Michael asked.
"Hell no." Luke says, "I love you and all Mandy, but that is also my heaven furniture and you can't have it." Luke says then gives me a smile.
"I wasn't planning on taking your heaven furniture." I say, laughing.
"Good, cause that's where I crash after a late night." Luke says.
"Yeah, after your late nights with Kaitlyn." Michael says, poking Luke in the side.
"Stop it Michael." Luke says, scooting away from him.
"I didn't really need to know that." I say, shaking my head.
"No, we haven't done anything!" Luke says.
"Not what I've heard." Michael says, laughing.
"What have you heard?" Luke asked, eyes going wide.
"If I do recall, I heard a "OH BABY YEAH!" coming from your room." Michael says, which cause me to laugh, but quickly cover my mouth.
"I WAS ALONE!" Luke yells. His eyes go wide and he quickly covers his mouth.
"Holy shit!" Michael says. He and I both erupt into laughter.
"Guys, it's not funny." Luke says, trying not to laugh as well.
"It's pretty damn hilarious." I say, still laughing.
"Next time, make sure no one is hear." Michael says.
"I thought you were gone!" Luke defends himself.
"Double check." Michael says again.
"Let's get off the subject of Luke and his alone time and order this damn pizza. My stomach is eating my rectum." I say, earning a stare from Luke and Michael. "It's a saying my friend Curtis from California use to say."
"Never say that again. That was just weird." Michael says, getting up and ordering the pizza. After Michael ordered the pizza, we decided to watch some movies. Once the pizza got here and my stomach was filled with pizza, we watched some more movies, until my eyes began to become heavy and before I knew it, I was asleep.
