The next few days passed by uneventfully, Jae Ri's burn began to heal and everything was well. Jihoo was almost angry at her for it, but Jae Ri knew he just felt guilty. She did her best to make him feel better, but she couldn't help but let him doctor her wrist every day.
-----------------------------------------------------------"Jan Di-ah, I'm going to go out for a while. I'll be back for dinner." Jae Ri said, shouldering her bag and heading for the door.
"Okay. Where are you going?" Jan Di said from the couch, where she sat watching a drama.
"Just riding my bike around, seeing a few sights, possibly some shopping..." Jae Ri said smiling.
"Are you sure you want to go alone? I could go with you..." Jan Di said, Though Jae Ri could tell she didn't want to leave her drama.
"That's fine, I don't mind going on my own. I could use the time to think." Jae Ri smiled, her hand on the door.
"Okay then... Think about Jihoo!" Jan Di chirped around a mouthful of popcorn.
Jae Ri pretended not to hear her.
---------------------------------------------------------
"Ah, its so nice here..." Jae Ri said to herself as she rested on a park bench for a few moments, her bike propped against a tree several yards away. She closed her eyes for only a minute or two, but when she opened them her bike was gone.
"Aish, I stopped paying attention for one moment!!" She said in distress. She looked around but there was no sign of her bike.
"Oh, what to do..." She was too far from the house to walk back, and it looked like rain. Suddenly, she heard an engine and whirled around to see Jihoo going by on his motorcycle.
"Jihoo-ya! Hello! Can I have a ride?" Jae Ri said, running up as he stopped.
"Jae Ri-ya, what are you doing all the way out here by yourself? With no transportation?" Jihoo asked, handing her his extra helmet.
"I rode my bike, but its been stolen. It looks like rain and I was afraid I would be stuck. I am so grateful to you, Jihoo-ya." Jae Ri said, getting on and hesitating. Jihoo smiled to himself and reached back and grabbed her hands, gently putting her arms around his waist. As he did so, it began to rain.
"Aish, we can't make it home in this weather. Hold on, Shinhwa High is nearby, we can take shelter there." Jihoo said, kicking the engine to life and taking off.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Oh... Its so pretty! You really went to school here? Its so nice!" Jae Ri said. They had started touring the school for lack of anything else to do while they waited for the storm to pass.
"Yes... I had a good time here." He replied, smiling.
"Excuse me, sir? Miss?" One of the school's staff had come bearing towels and dry clothes.
"I'm sorry, but the only dry clothes we have are uniforms..."
"That's perfectly fine. Thank you very much." Jihoo said, smiling as he took the clothes from the man.
"I suppose you remember where the changing rooms are?" The man asked.
"Yes. Thank you." The man left.
---------------------------------------------------
"Ahh, I feel silly!" Jae Ri called from inside the locker room.
"Come on Jae Ri-ya, you can't hide in there forever!" Jihoo called back, laughing slightly in spite of himself. He had already changed into the uniform.
"Fine, but you can't laugh..." She poked her head out.
"I won't, just come on out." Jihoo said, smiling at her.
Jae Ri stepped out and Jihoo's eyes widened.
"Is something wrong?" Jae Ri said tentatively.
"N-no, I just..." Jihoo shook his head as if to clear it; "You just reminded me of someone. You look great."
Jihoo couldn't help thinking to himself that she bore a striking resemblance to Jan Di.
"Thank you." She said, smiling; "You don't look bad yourself, Jihoo-ya."
"Oh stop it, you." He said, laughing as he put an arm around her shoulders; "Come on, lets explore some more."
