"Jan Di unnie, are you busy today?" Jae Ri asked as the two of them sat down to breakfast. Jun Pyo had some work stuff to do, and Jihoo was needed at his practice.

"No. Nothing planned for today. Why?" Jan Di asked.
"I thought maybe we could watch a drama, and start on our Christmas gifts..?" Jae Ri said hopefully.
"Oh that sounds great! I'd love to." Jan Di said excitedly.

"Okay...now you stick the needle through the stitch....then you wrap the yarn around...like that.. And pull it through, and drop the old loop off. There, you've got it! We're just going to do garter stitch scarves this go round, okay?" Jae Ri said.
"That's good with me." Jan Di replied; "Now that I've got the hang of it, what drama would you like to watch?"
"Hmmm...that one looks good." Jae Ri said, scrolling through the list of dramas on the streaming service, picking one. Jae Ri turned it on, and they relaxed with their knitting.

Several episodes later.....
They heard the front door open and Jun Pyo called out, "I'm here!"
"What is he doing back so soon??" Jan Di asked, panicking as she hurriedly stuffed her knitting under her blanket; "Hello Yeobo. What brings you home so early?"
"I want to take you out for lunch! I have to go back to work afterwards though..." Jun Pyo said, walking up to his wife and kissing her on the cheek.
"Come on! You can come as well, Jae Ri dongsaeng!" He said, grabbing Jan Di's wrist to pull her to her feet. Jae Ri snatched the blanket off Jan Di's lap before the knitting fell to the floor, and balled it up and sat it to one side.
"Thank you for the offer, Jun Pyo Oppa, but I should stay here and get some knitting done." She said, holding up her own needles and yarn, hoping to distract him from Jan Di.

"You knit??" Jun Pyo asked, surprised.
"Yeah. I haven't been doing it much since I came here, so I decided to pick it back up." Jae Ri said smiling.
"Wow, that's neat!" Jun Pyo said, staring at the needles flashing back and forth in her hands, completing row after row.
"Thank you Oppa." Jae Ri said, laughing lightly.
"What was that about lunch?" Jan Di said laughing, tugging on Jun Pyo's hand.
"Oh, right. Well, I'll see you later, Jae Ri." Jun Pyo said, walking out with Jan Di. Jae Ri laughed about what just happened, and continued knitting and watching dramas until...

"Aish, I don't have enough yarn! Jihoo is pretty tall, so he needs a long scarf...." She muttered to herself; "What to do..."
"Something wrong?" Jae Ri started at the voice, shoving the scarf in progress out of sight.
"Oh, its nothing Jagi. I just need to go to a store later..." She said, standing to go hug him.
Jihoo met her embrace, kissing her forehead gently in greeting.
"I could take you now. Where do you need to go?"
"....Alright. But it has to do with your gift, so can you promise not to look at what I buy?" Jae Ri said. She wouldn't be doing this if she wasn't desperate. Christmas was in a week, and she needed to finish it, plus she wanted to make a matching hat.
"I promise, Jagi." Jihoo said, taking her hand and leading her outside to his car.
