Chapter 14

"Now first things first, go wait for me in that exam room over there and I'll go get my doctory doctor tools." Jihoo said lightheartedly. Jae Ri did as he asked and sat on the exam couch. After a minute, he came in with a leather bag. He opened it and pulled out a blood pressure cuff and took her blood pressure. Each time his fingers grazed her bare skin it tingled and left goosebumps behind. Next, he pulled out a stethoscope.

"I-erm....can you...?" He gestured to her chest. Jae Ri understood and blushed as she unbuttoned the top buttons of her blouse. After holding the end of the stethoscope in his hand for a moment to warm it, he pressed it to her chest.

"Your heart is racing..." he said, frowning. Looking up at her face, he saw that she was blushing.

"What? O-Oh!!...I...uhh...." He said, blushing as well. After a moment, he smiled.

"Am I making you nervous?" Jae Ri smiled back.

"To be completely honest, yes. I am very nervous right now." Jihoo kissed her forehead, put the stethoscope away and brought out a flashlight.

"I'm just going to shine this in your eyes for a few moments.." After that, he stood and turned his back to her as he put everything away. Jae Ri saw her chance and tiptoed over to him, stood up as tall as she could and kissed the back of Jihoo's neck. He stiffened in surprise, but then relaxed, turning to face her. Tilting her chin up, he made a line of kisses down her jaw and up to her lips. When they broke apart, he whispered in her ear; "Maybe I should check your heart beat now...." She began kissing his jaw, replicating what he had just done to her. "Maybe I should check yours." She said, laughing.

"Anyways, you need to do your paperwork." she said, pulling away and walking out. Jihoo groaned, and took a moment to compose himself before following her.

The others had started to worry.

"Yeobo? Maybe you should call Jihoo to make sure they're okay..." Jan Di said. They were all gathered in the spacious living room.

"Yeah...I'll do that." Jun Pyo said, standing and pulling his phone from his pocket. Dialing quickly, he called him.

"Jihoo? Where are you two? Everyone is worried... Yes I know he's trash...really? Will you be home for dinner?Okay. See you soon."

He hung up.

"What did he say?" Jan Di asked.

"They're at his practice. He had some paperwork to finish, and Jae Ri decided to stay with him. They'll be home for dinner."

"Oh. I'm glad they're okay." Jan Di said, breathing a sigh of relief.

"Annnd...done." Jihoo said, as he finished the last bit of paperwork.

"That didn't take long." Jae Ri said, stretching and walking over to him.

"No, it didn't." He replied, smiling as he snatched her and pulled her into his lap.

"Jagiiii! We're going to be late for dinner."Jae Ri said, laughing as he kissed her jaw again.

"Oh fine." Jihoo said with a mischievous look in his eyes. Grabbing hold of her tightly, he carried her out bridal-style.

"What is it?" Jae Ri asked when he suddenly stopped in the doorway.

"Mistletoe." He said, smiling. He set her down gently, then in the blink of an eye pinned her against the wall and kissed her deeply. When they finally broke apart, he rested his forehead against hers, as she wrapped her arms around him tightly. They were still in this position when they heard someone clearing their throat loudly. Springing apart quickly, they looked to see who it was.

"Oh, D-Doctor Jang, what brings you here this time of night?" Jihoo said, clearing his throat in embarrassment. Jae Ri hid her face behind him.

"Just came to check something. I could ask you the same thing." The male doctor said, laughing. "Don't worry, I'm not judging you. In fact, I'm happy for you. I was wondering what had made you so happy these last several months."

Jae Ri stepped out from behind Jihoo and said "Yeah, he's lucky to have me isn't he? I'm Jae Ri." Shaking his hand.

"I'm Doctor Jang. If you ever need anything and Jihoo is out of town, let me know." He said.

"I will. Thank you." She said smiling.

"We'll see you later, Doctor." Jihoo said, holding the door for Jae Ri to leave.

"See you two lovers later." He said, laughing as he walked off into his office.
