Chapter 18

"Should we have the wedding here? Or in your hometown?" Jihoo asked Jae Ri, who was snuggled to his side as they poked through wedding magizines.
"I talked to my mother and she said she doesn't mind flying here, plus the cherry blossoms will be in bloom...." Jae Ri responded, looking up at him. "I want a simple wedding. I don't need a huge ceremony, I just need you." She looked up at him and smiled as he kissed her forehead.
"Do you want to have it soon? We could be married on our anniversary..." said Jihoo, stroking her hand.
"That's in a month right? Sounds perfect." Jae Ri smiled.

"Jan Di-ya, are you busy tomorrow?" Jae Ri asked.
"I am not. What would you like to do?" Jan Di responded, sitting down with Jae Ri.
"I wanted to ask... will you and Ga Eul go with me to look at bridal gowns?" Jae Ri said, smiling broadly.
"Of course!!!! I'll call her right now!" Jan Di said excitedly. Her phone was in her hand in a flash and was chatting excitedly to Ga Eul. Jae Ri heard the door open and went to see who it was.
"Eomma!" She cried happily, running to greet her mother.
"Jae Ri! You sound so suprised, did you really think I would miss your wedding dress experience?" Her mother said warmly, embracing her.
"I'm so glad you're here! Jihoo will be here soon to go shopping for tuxedos, I can't wait for you to officially meet him as my fiancé!"
"Where is that rascal?" Jun Pyo said, walking by while checking his watch, just as the door opened and the rascal in question walked in.
"Jihoo! My mother came to see me try on wedding dresses!" Jae Ri said excitedly.
"Annyeonghaseyo, Jangmo. It's great to see you!" Jihoo said, bowing.
"The pleasure is all mine, Sawi." She replied, bowing as well.
"So, shall we get to it then?" Jae Ri asked of the group, which had now grown to include Ga Eul, Yi Jung and Woo Bin.
"Time to look at some beautiful dresses!" Jan Di said wistfully.
"We'll meet up for dinner later, right?" Jae Ri asked.
"Of course." Jihoo said, kissing her forehead as he went to his car with Jun Pyo, Woo Bin and Yi Jung. He had finally forgiven Yi Jung for the incident at christmas, though he kept a close eye on him.

Several hours later, Jae Ri had found the perfect dress, and with the blessings of her peers, purchased it and began the alteration process. Jihoo and the men found great suits and reserved them, then they all headed to dinner.
"How did it go, Yeobo?" Jihoo asked his future wife as they were seated in the restaurant.
" I found the most beautiful dress! It's more than I would have thought I could pull off, but it's very beautiful and I think you will like it." Jihoo reached across and brushed a stray hair from her face.
"You will look beautiful in anything, my love." Jun Pyo coughed loudly and everyone laughed. Dinner was served and when everyone was done eating they decided to call it a night.

The next month flew by in a whirlwind of wedding planning, when finally it was the night before the big day.
"Aish, he's not picking up his phone..." Jae Ri muttered, looking at her phone worriedly.
"Maybe his phone is dead?" Jan Di said.
"It's still ringing, so it can't be dead... what if he's gotten cold feet and doesn't want to marry me anymore?" Jae Ri said, her voice shaking.
"I'm sure it's not that! He loves you, and I'm sure he's just lost his phone. No need to worry."

-an hour earlier-
Jihoo was filled with butterflies and jitters about the thought of getting married tomorrow, so he decided to ride his motorbike to release some of the built up emotions. He rode around for a few hours, not paying that much attention to his surroundings when suddenly he found himself on the highway. A tractor trailer in front of him jackknifed, blocking everything in front of him and without time to swerve, he made a split second decision and laid the bike down and went right under it. The last thing he remembered was the undercarriage of the semi truck before his helmet hit the pavement and he fell unconscious.
