Seeing her break down like that almost broke my heart. I didn't care what that bitch of a step mum of hers thought of me. I was used to it. I got hate on the daily. Yeah it hurt and it got to me; but what hurt me even more was hearing what she was saying to Leah. Neither of her parents had any idea of what she'd been through, they seemed to just think she was over reacting over everything. And the fact that they thought she was in the wrong over this Georgia thing? That was so fucking wrong. And then they had the audacity to blame me and my band for all of this?

We were still sitting on the floor in the lounge room. I had no clue how much time had past. But I didn't care, there was nothing more I wanted than to make this fragile girl feel better.
It was evident that her parents didn't pay much attention to her. When they were here earlier it was almost like Georgia was their daughter and not Leah.

Leah eventually stopped crying a few minutes later, and we sat there in silence, her wrapped up in my arms, "I'm sorry," she said, her voice hoarse from all the crying
"You have nothing to be sorry for," I reassured her, it was the truth. There was nothing she needed to be sorry for
"I just feel like..." She trailed off, "I feel like I've done nothing but make your break miserable so far,"
"What makes you think that?" I asked
"The drama with my parents, and then what happened this morning and all the Georgia crap,"
"That's the biggest load of bull shit I've ever heard," I told her, "if I never came to Melbourne over the break to see you, yeah none of this would have happened, but hey shit happens," I shrugged. It was true, if I didn't come to Melbourne I wouldn't have to deal with this crap, but I never would have met Leah, "and if I didn't come here, I never would have met you,"
"I honestly just don't think I'm worth all this crap I'm putting you through," she said
"Leah, do not ever doubt your self worth, you're beyond worth this babe," she just nodded and smiled at what I'd told her.

A few minutes later, we'd moved to the couch, and my phone went off indicating I had a text message. I opened it up and saw that I had a few. Mostly from the guys. One from my mum. I opened the one from my mum first

From Mum: I saw photos of you out in Melbourne last night honey, and I just wanted to say that I haven't seen you look that happy in a while. Whoever this girl is, she's good for you. Don't let her slip away, I'll see you back in Sydney, love you

To Mum: I should have known photos would come up, but yeah I'm really happy. Leah's amazing. I won't be letting her go. I'll be home in a couple of weeks, love you and miss you

I smiled at the message from mum, "what's got you so happy?" Leah asked me
"Mum just messaged me," I told her, showing her my phone. I had no reason to hide it from her. Everything I'd just told mum was true. In the week id been here, the only time I hadn't been smiling or laughing was this morning
"So you're not gonna let me go?" She asked, once she finished reading the messages
"As long as you don't let go of me,"
"Never in a million years," she smiled, "you're the reason I've been smiling so much recently,"
"And you're the reason I haven't had as many nightmares,"
