Leah

Our night at the beach was spent much like the ones we spent inside my apartment, cuddled up in each other's arms. It was perfect.

It got dark not long after we got there, and we used the lights from our phone flashlights, to see each other. I didn't mind the darkness, especially at the beach.
At around 9.30 Michael decided it would be fun to go put our feet in the water. I left my phone in my bag, knowing the last time I did something like this, I ended up getting pushed in the water, and my phone broke. I didn't want that to happen again.

Exactly like I expected, Michael decided it would be funny to push me in, but because I expected that; I grabbed his arm and pulled him down with me, "you bitch," he laughed
"Serves you right for pushing me in," I laughed along with him, "I hope you left your phone with my bag,"
"I'm not that stupid, Leah," he continued to laugh

We stayed in the water for a little longer, splashing each other, trying to dunk each other underwater and kissing each other every now and then. It was definitely the best night of my life so far.

The breeze from the bay, made the water absolutely freezing and after we stopped mucking around in the water, it got too cold to stay in. We got out and walked up to grab our things from the sand, hand in hand. I suddenly had an idea, "hey,"
"Yeah?" He asked
"I wanna show you something," I told him, "come with me," I held out my hand for him to take, which he did with out hesitation
"Where are we going?" He asked, as we walked to this rotunda like place at the end of a pier, "you're not gonna kill me are you? I think a few million people will be a bit upset about that," he laughed
"I'm not going to kill you, you dipshit," I laughed, "just up there," I pointed to the spot, my spot

We arrived at the spot a couple of minutes later, "so why'd you bring me up here?" He asked, a look of confusion etched on his face
"This is my favourite spot on the whole beach," I told him, walking over to the edge, with him still holding my hand. I sat down and hung my legs over the edge, "I come up here to think a lot,"
"I can kind of see why," he said, "it's pretty damn peaceful here,"
"Yeah," I agreed, "not many people come up here, especially this time of night, that's why I like it,"
"So what do you do up here?"
"Nothing, just think and listen to music, I've never brought anyone up here before," it was true. I nearly took Brandon here, the night after our first date, when we were walking along the beach with Georgia and his friend, but we didn't, and I was glad. I really liked having this place to myself, well not really to myself now that I'd brought Mikey up here, "until now," I looked at him and gave him a shy smile. He returned the smile and wrapped an arm around me
"Is that supposed to make me feel special?" He asked, pulling me a little closer so I could rest my head on his shoulder, the wet fabric of his t-shirt, cold against my cheek
"Well I've never really trusted anyone enough to bring them up here, don't wanna taint it. So you can think what you want,"
"Well I'm glad you trust me enough to bring me up here," he smiled, placing a small kiss to my wet hair, "so yeah I feel special,"
"Good," my smile was huge and my insides were all fluttering; like I had butterflies inside. Never before, even when I was here by myself had I felt more at peace. There was something about Michael that just made everything better.

I knew then and there, that I was falling and falling hard. He could break my heart and I'd probably thank him. Just because I had this moment with him. This moment was perfect, this moment was everything.
