Luke
I grabbed Ambur by the hand, and lead her out of Leah's apartment, "Luke, where are we going?" She asked, "I wanted to hear the rest of their conversation,"
"I think they were done talking," I laughed, "and we would have gotten away with it, if you didn't open the fucking door,"
"You didn't answer my question," she pouted, as we walked down the stairs of the building. I looked around quickly to see if I could find a place to go. Then I saw it; the beach
"The beach?" I suggestedWe walked hand in hand to the beach, and sat down on the white sand. Thankfully no one saw us.
The last few days had been hectic as fuck. Management had been calling us non stop, about the appearances we'd missed. We refused to tell them why we'd cancelled them; we wanted to keep Leah's privacy.
We understood that with our careers, we had to tell our fans what was going on. We wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for them. We only told them it was personal reasons. I knew for a fact Michael wouldn't want this all over the news. His mini blow up that Leah's "friend" had recorded was enough. But thankfully Ambur put her in her place."What are you thinking about?" Ambur asked me, "you've been staring at the water for like ten minutes,"
"Everything really," I shrugged, "management is full on our case about the cancellations,"
"Modest are fucked," she laughed, "always hated them,"
"They've never really been on our case this much," I sighed, "except with the Arzaylea business,"
"What's with that anyways?" She asked, I knew this would come up sooner or later. Arzaylea was nothing but a girl I hooked up with once or twice, she'd taken advantage of the fact that we'd been seen together a few times, and made a huge thing out of it. Every time I said I was single, she'd go and say I was her boyfriend, that was Modest just stirring the pot. They loved to create something out of nothing. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone anything, but I felt like I could trust Ambur. I knew Mike had told Leah, and had sworn her to secrecy
"Honestly, it's nothing but publicity,"
"I knew it," she laughed, "is she really as bad as she seems?"
"Worse," I told her, "it's complete bull shit!"
"I'm not surprised,"We sat at the beach in our same positions, Ambur sat closely next to me, and I had an arm wrapped around her shoulder. It felt comfortable; and right. Although she had a crazy and vicious personality, it was something I lo- no liked about her. She never let anyone say anything bad about her friends, and she valued friendship more than anything.
Although we'd only known each other a few days; I couldn't deny the fact that I was possibly developing feelings for her. I knew it was too soon to do anything about it though. She had a lot on her plate; with her best friend, just recovering from temporary amnesia, and the fact that the first time she met her best friend; was in the hospital after a horrific car accident. I was beyond happy that I saw her tweet and responded that day. It just proved that through all her sarcasm she was just a girl who wanted to be there for others. I could definitely see myself falling for her one of these days in the near future. But that's a secret I'd keep to myself. At least for now.
