Lauren trudges through the door of her apartment, Dinah suddenly appearing in her view. "Round two with blondie eh?" She chuckles as she continues to scroll through her phone.

"Yeah I guess." She grumbles, tossing her jacket onto the edge of the couch.

"You know people usually act all giddy after getting laid."

Lauren rolls her eyes at Dinah's sarcastic comment. "I seriously think this phase is getting worse."

"By that you mean?" Dinah curiously leans forward as Lauren plops down on the couch beside her.

"I mean..." Lauren sighs, leaning back. "I don't want to sleep around anymore. I'm forcing myself into it just to kind of stay in the flow of things."

Dinah contently watches Lauren as she forms her words. "I thought I was going to pass out from the pain in my stomach when I touched that girl." Lauren looked over at her friend, green orbs wide. "I'm just tired of it."

"So you're done with playing the field?" Dinah asks, feigning shock.

Lauren leans forward, fully engrossing herself in the conversation. "That's the thing, I want it but I want something different."

"Like a guy?" Dinah chuckles.

Lauren's jaw drops. "Fuck no. I don't need some sleazy prick in my life. That's my personal title anyways," She smirks.

"I want the butterflies in my stomach," She sighs, her gaze falling to the floor. "I want passion, not just meaningless sex so I can ride out a quick high."

"Aw Lauren you're acting so sentimental," Dinah playfully shoves her shoulder. "Girls throw themselves at you all the time passion shouldn't be that hard to find."

"Passion doesn't come my way, I think it veers as far away from me as possible," Lauren chuckles. A silence falls over the two as Lauren thinks over her situation.

"I don't think I deserve it." Lauren weakly mumbles as she plays with her fingers, the weight of realization weighing on her.

The next morning Camila leans against the counter in her and Ally's apartment as her endearing friend cooks breakfast for the two.

"Are you sure I can't help?"

Ally looks back at her with a soft smile. "Do you want the food to be edible?"

"Well yeah?"

"Then why don't you just sit there and look pretty," She giggles as Camila rolls her eyes.

"I catch pancakes on fire one time and you guys will never let me live it down." Camila grumbles as she rests her head in her hand.

"What's on your mind Mila?" Ally questions in-between bites of her toast.

Camila dramatically shakes her head, clearing the thoughts and sitting up straighter. "Oh nothing, I'm just tired." She nervously laughs as she messes with the fork on her plate.

"You've been zoned out all through breakfast. Spill." Ally urges on, her brown eyes showing nothing but comfort.

Camila thinks over her words before letting her hands fall into her lap. "What do you think of Lauren?"

Ally tilts her head for a moment, stunned into silence by Camila's question. "Lauren?" Camila nods her head at Ally's question. "Well I think she's...interesting. A little intimidating but you know," She simply shrugs as she finishes off her toast.

Camila couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of Lauren being intimidating. Although she seemed that way at first, that whole mask faded when she latched herself onto Camila on the couch. Sleep had overtaken the girl and she looked startlingly younger as the crease between her eyebrows finally rested in her slumber.
