Lauren awoke the following morning to an empty bed.

As the sun peeking through the curtains burned her jade eyes she rolled over, noticing the abandoned sheets. "Fuck," Lauren grumbled to herself. Kicking the covers off and adjusting to the cold floor against her bare feet, the green eyed girl made her way to the kitchen. Upon noticing it empty, she arched an eyebrow before padding into the living room.

She observes Dinah hunched over on the couch. "Good morning sunshine!" Lauren cheerfully announced extra loudly, causing Dinah to grasp at her head.

"Fuck off Laur," Dinah groaned as she watched her friend waltz through the adjacent hall. The older girl quickly returns with some aspirin, dropping it into the Polynesian's hand before trotting into the kitchen and returning a moment later with a glass of water.

"Drink the whole thing." Lauren lectures as her friend pops the tablets into her mouth. Dinah rolls her eyes before chugging the whole glass and setting the empty cup on the coffee table.

"So where's Camz?"

"She had to run into work for a few hours, some shipping emergency I think. She said she'll be back soon enough." Dinah informs her friend before a smirk overtakes her lips. "She also said you just looked too damn adorable to wake up."

"Dinah," Lauren groans before falling into the opposing couch. "Please don't start."

"What? I think it's cute," The taller girl shrugs before hesitantly rising to her feet.

The green eyed girl sighs before standing up and following her best friend into the kitchen. "Everyone's giving me so much shit for something I can't control," Lauren huffs as her eyes scan over the boxes of cereal in the cabinet.

"Like?"

"Like," Lauren emphasizes, "You, Camila's friends, some of my coworkers that have overheard my phone calls with her, some people from the club, hell even Bea!"

Dinah chuckles as her eyes scan the contents of the fridge. "I'm serious, D."

"I know, Lauren." Dinah sighs as she pulls out a jug of orange juice. "I can't account for all of those people, but I can for Bea, Ally, Mani, and myself. We're all so happy for you and Mila but our happiness for you can't go without a little teasing." The taller girl winks, causing Lauren to release a chuckle.

"I hope you're right."

"Are you happy?" Dinah questions as she grabs a fresh glass.

Lauren rests her elbows on the counter as she ponders over the question. "Yeah... Happier than I've been in a really long time."

"That's all we care about," Dinah softly smiles. "And Mila's happiness of course."

A grin spreads across Lauren's lips at the mention of the smaller girl. The mere thought of the girl causes butterflies to erupt in Lauren's stomach. Those lips, that smile, those arms that wrap the green eyed girl up unconditionally. Those big brown eyes, Jesus Christ, those eyes. The way she can look at Lauren with so much affection, that girl could look past all of Lauren's flaws, anything bad she's ever done. Camila's the only one to truly try to see Lauren.

"Earth to Lauren!" Dinah's voice shakes Lauren from her daydreaming. "Spacing out about Camila?"

"What? No!"

"Shut up yes you were, your cheeks are all blushy." Dinah smirks as the red tint on Lauren's cheeks gets even more defined. "You're so whipped."

"Fuck off."

Lauren shoots her a glare before Dinah's facial features soften.

"Since Camila isn't here can we... talk?"
