"Hey Laur," The older girl heard from her place on the couch. Her head shoots up in the direction of her best friend.
"Hey," Lauren grins in return before pushing her glasses onto the top of her head. "What's up?"
Dinah takes a seat on the edge of the coffee table, "I really appreciate you letting me stay here."
"Anything for you, DJ." Lauren smiles at her friend before tossing the manuscript in her hands off to the side.
It had been three days since Dinah's messy breakup, and to Lauren's pleasure, she was sticking to it. Chance had continuously called and texted Dinah's phone, even reaching out to Lauren who quickly shut him down. He would no doubt be up here banging on Lauren's door on a daily basis, if he wasn't banned from the building. The front desk has known to never let him pass no matter what. Thankfully the stairs are locked and people need access to the elevators if they don't live there.
The only interaction Lauren had with the man was when she went to get Dinah's things. He tried to plead for Lauren to deliver a message to Dinah but the raven haired girl was not having any of it. Needless to say, he got upset and began yelling at Lauren. Which was when the girl chucked a bottle at his head. Because Dinah was done. So now Lauren could release all of her pent up anger. "That's for my best friend." She muttered in disgust as he picked out a piece of glass from his cheek.
"I think I'm going to stay with Mani for awhile." Dinah concludes as she toys with her hands in her lap.
Lauren kinks an eyebrow, "Oh?"
"I-it's not that I'm not grateful to you... or like I don't want to stay here! I-I"
"Dinah," Lauren cuts her off before placing a gentle hand overtop the smaller girls."I'm not Chance, you don't have to explain yourself," She lightly chuckles. "Plus I totally ship you guys, I think it's great that you're staying with her."
"Really?" Dinah lightly blushes.
"Totally, plus she's been by here everyday to check on you, it would make sense for you to go with her anyway." Lauren shrugged before she relaxed into the couch. "Just don't forget about me," Lauren points a stern finger in the Polynesian's direction, making her chuckle.
"I couldn't forget your annoying ass even if I tried."
"Good thing," Lauren smirks. "When do you wanna go?"
"Mani is gonna be by in a a couple hours, I've already talked to her about it she'd love for me to stay with her," Dinah responded as she plays with a loose string on her shirt. "I also don't want to get in the way of you and Mila, you two have this cute little wife thing going on, I don't wanna intrude on it."
"Dinah you don't intrude, we continue our little 'wife' thing whether you're around or not," Lauren playfully shrugged, earning a slap on the knee.
"But you're okay with Mani and I... you know," Dinah awkwardly shrugged as a red tint filled her cheeks.
"Falling in loooooove?" Lauren teased with a wide smile.
Dinah groaned, "Maybe with time."
"Definitely, I knew you swung both ways, it's not news or anything." Lauren grinned as her best friend rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Maybe it was a little surprising to find out Normani swung both ways but," Lauren added in with a shrug, "Fine by me as long as the ship stays afloat."
"You and this ship deal I swear," Dinah giggled.
"It's all your influence, DJ." Lauren retorted with an eyeroll, "You started this all with the Camren shit."
