Camz: What time should I come over?

The green eyed girl grinned down at her phone just as Camila's text came through. It had been several days since their weekend together and things were going well between the pair. Her best friend had indeed dropped a huge bomb on the green eyed girl and Lauren was itching to address that with her... friend? Girlfriend? Friend that's a girl? Her Camz. Although Dinah's realization immediately began eating at Lauren's mind, she still enjoyed the chill day with her friends. Dinah went back to her place the next day and of course forgave her shitty boyfriend.

Lauren: I may need to work late actually, I'll call you on my way home?

Camz: Sounds good. I miss you.

Lauren: You just saw me this morning, beautiful.

Camz: It's never enough.

Lauren: I don't think I'll ever be able to get enough of you.

The older girl sends her text with a small smile on her lips. Her eyes are transfixed on her phone as she lazily rolls from side to side in her desk chair.

"Jauregui!"

Lauren's eyes snap up in the direction of her name being called from the doorway. Her jade eyes land upon her boss leaning against the doorway with a small grin on his lips.

"Yes sir?" Lauren questions as she drops her phone on the desk.

The older man stands from his place in the doorway, approaching the desk before handing over a thick stack of papers. "Would you mind taking on this manuscript for me? I tried to hand it off to Michael but it totally went over his head. He's really only good with the more sci-fi related manuscripts we receive." Mr. Jamison explains as a small grin overtakes Lauren's features.

"Ah Mikey..." Lauren chuckles as she reads through some of the confused notes that her co-worker left. "I'll take care of it," She smiles up at the older man.

"I knew you would miss Jauregui, always my go-to." The older man winks in her direction before making his exit.

The green eyed girl kicked her heels onto the desk as she delved into the new manuscript placed in her possession. Since this one was specifically handed down to her, she wanted to rake through the words with an extra fine-toothed comb.

Lauren read until her eyes burned, taking that as a cue to toss the new manuscript along with the others into her bag before making her departure from the office building. She had to keep re-reading portions whenever her mind wandered to a set of brown eyes. The stories behind those orbs would be more interesting than her job at the moment. She threw a wave to the secretary who was also beginning to pack up before making her descent through the crisp night air.

"Hello?" Camila mumbled into the phone.

"Hey gorgeous," Lauren sang into the line.

"Off work?" The younger girl grinned into the line. Ally watched her friend with an adoring smile on her lips.

"Indeed."

"Can I start making my way over now?"

"Actually," Lauren began, causing Camila's eyebrows scrunch up in confusion. "It might be a little late for that."

"What?" Camila sat up, the sudden cancellation in their plans making Camila's heart leap.

"I got too excited about seeing you," Lauren giggled as Camila suddenly heard a knock at their front door.

"Lauren?" The brown eyed girl curiously spoke into the line as she stood and began making her way over to the door.

"Shhh. Hurry up and open this door. It's cold out here without your cuddles." Camila can practically hear the pout in the older girls words. As soon as that was spoken through the line a huge grin broke out across Camila's features as she raced toward the front door.
