CHAPTER 25: It's gonna be so AWKWARD

GUILA's POV

My secretary helped me in preparing my presentation. I am nervously standing in front of the Chairman, the Board Members, VP Charlene, the other executives and the couple, Mark Louis and Cassie. Mark and I can't look at each other. I just hate this.

"Are you okay? You seemed pale Ms. Loveland," Chairman Chui concerns.

My secretary looked at me so worried. I gave her a furious look. Keep your mouth shut Georgina.

"I'm okay Chairman," I say as they are all staring at me so worried except for Charlene.

She couldn't lose that smile on her face. She's really up for something. It makes me scared. Anyway I need to finish this report; I just want to go home. This is the first time that I am feeling like this.

"Georgina, please," I looked at her and she clicks the mouse showing my presentation.

"So good morning to all of you, today I am going to report to you about the tour and meetings with the investor in each country we've been to," I shyly pointed at Mark and Cassie gave him a sweet and proud smile. I'm feeling sh*t right now but I gotta continue.

I presented to them reviews about the mobile and suggestions on how to improve our marketing strategy. I also enlisted the names of investors, old and new and narrated to them the expectations of those investors. I also summarized the operation's report and reported my findings.

"... one of the things that affect our sales is the issue of piracy. Almost ten thousand stalls have found out to be imitating our products. Unfortunately, only ¼ of those have been arrested. We need to act on this."

"So we will have to be in contact with the police," the marketing director said.

I nodded.

"Unfortunately, there had been reports about class A imitation of Mr. Winds-Carter's mobile," I informed them.

I can see disappointment in Mark's face.

"Don't worry we will work on that Mr. Carter," Chairman Chui said. He continued, "You may now sit Ms. Loveland."

I took my sit beside my secretary and Mr. Chui started giving his commentary.

"Good job Ms. Loveland and to you Mr. Carter," the Chairman flashed a smile.

"So there are 8 countries that have been toured and we are so blessed to receive good reviews but like what the report says, we need to act on those people or small company imitating our products. It is an embarrassment for us. I am really sorry Mr. Carter but anyway I hope this beautiful actress can help us. With her management's consent and with her full permission, she will be the face of NIIC. So everyone, I would like you to give Ms. Cassie Bridgestone a round of applause and welcome her as our new endorser."

So that is why she's here. I'm glad for her. We clapped our hands and she stood. She beamed a smile at me and I smiled genuinely at her. Gosh, I am feeling so guilty. She seated back and tapped Mark Louis' shoulder. They smiled at each other and I admit, I am jealous. It hurts and it even hurts more realizing that I don't have the right to be hurt.

I looked down and I just heard Charlene started talking.

"That's good news Chairman Chui."

My heart thumped as I am feeling anxious thinking of what will be the next move of this b*tch.

She looked at me and she gave me a devilish grin.

"I would also like to share some news."

I looked at Charlene with my signature stare. She continued, "Our Company will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next Saturday so since I am the head of that event I would like to formally invite you all to attend that event. These are the invitations and I hope to see you all there including you Mr. Carter and Ms. Bridgestone.I have also invited our former innovators and almost all of them confirmed their attendance."
