GUILA’s POV

I went to the police station because I just noticed that my wallet is missing from my bag. It is very important to me because aside from the precious pictures kept in it, debit cards and cash, it is the very first thing that my father bought for me when I got a job here at NIIC. I mean, the wallet has sentimental value for me so I really need to find it and so I asked help from the police.

I saw a very familiar face, the bearded and mustached man, the inventor arguing with one policeman. He got caught because of over speeding based on what I heard. As I file my request of search, I heard that he badly needs money to pay the penalty fee. How come he doesn’t have money? Oh, he must have left his wallet. Besides he looked so haggard earlier at the contract signing. His phone was also battery empty so I bet there is no one who can help him.

I looked at him and I was thinking of helping him but when he caught my eyes, I changed my mind. I stood and left and went back to NIIC but as I was flashbacking some things, I remembered the good things he have done for me. He covered my behind when my dress ripped off. He gave me a ride when I needed it so I can meet my parents. He rescued me when I fainted. He fought the bad guys just to save me from being raped and killed. He was nice to me, suddenly I felt a little guilt and so I changed my mind and ordered my driver to pay for his penalty fee. “Please sign me as an anonymous person who just wants to help,” I instructed Sir Kelson, my driver.

As I read e-mails on the computer, I don’t know but I kept on looking at my phone waiting for Sir Kelson’s text whether he already paid the penalty fee or not. My gosh, am I falling? NO WAY! “There’s no way to like him!” I shook my head off like a crazy dog and I was not aware that my secretary, Georgina is already at my front.

“Ma’am this is the financial report of…” Surely she sees my crazy act. BEAT. I stopped and fixed my hair and looked at her like nothing happened. Now she continued, “Mr. Gonzales.”

I cleared my throat and said, “Just leave it on my table.”

Suddenly my phone beeps and I grabbed it and read,

Mr. Kelson: He’s freed Ma’am.

I smiled but I erased that smile after a second of realizing that it’s wrong to fall for him and I don’t want to fall for him. I just hate him!

BEAT. My secretary is still at my front, “What are you still doing here?”

“I’m sorry Ma’am. I’ll leave now.”

MARK’s POV

Men! I was saved by somebody. Wait, can it be the NIIC President, Guila? Maybe no or maybe she realized that I am so good to her and changed her mind and helped me. I have a strong feeling that she is really my rescuer. Maybe she requested somebody to pay the penalty fee because she could not do it by herself, you know, PRIDE.

I better say my “thank you” personally so I went back to the NIIC building still with some paparazzi following me. I ran into the building and rushed to the elevator. I don’t know, I just can’t wait to say how thankful I am to her.

When I got near at her office, her secretary greeted me and informed me that Guila is having a meeting with a client inside so I waited.

After nearly an hour of waiting, finally I got the chance to enter into her office. Upon seeing me, she asked, “What are you doing here?”

With great gratitude, I smiled and answered, “I just want to thank you. Thank you for paying the penalty fee. I was not wrong, you are really a good person!” I walked closer to her.
