Chapter 27
Storm's POV:
I put on lace tights with flower designs on them (The ones in the picture if you can see it). I put on a small black cute dress and black heels to match. I tousled my hair and smiled at my appearance.
I walked out of the dressing room and to the lobby where some people already began to fill in. I stood at the bar as Jamie got me a water and as I stood waiting for my drink a firm hand gripped my thigh through the lace. I yelped and turned back to see a smirking Ace.
"What the fuck are you doing?" He asked nonchalantly.
"Getting a glass of water?" I asked confused as Jamie set the glass down.
"No, what the fuck are you doing?" He asked again his eyes grey with anger.
"I'm working, Steele." I said flipping my hair over my shoulder. His eyes drifted to my bare shoulder where the bullet hole scar rested. I tossed my hair back over to cover it and his eyes met mine and he smiled.
"No you're not." He assured.
"No? Then what am I doing?" I asked sarcastically.
"You're teasing me." He said gripping the bottom of my dress. My stomach lurched and I felt my heart begin to race. I placed my hands on his chest and I instantly moved them off and I tried to move out of his grip but his hands tightened.
"Ace. Enough." I said lowly only for him to hear. He let go and his face turned to annoyance.
"Whatever, Jennifer." He grumbled chugging his scotch.
"Fuck you." I said angrily. I left the lobby and I went to the abandoned office where I yelled and hit my hand against the wall. I retracted my hand and rubbed the stinging skin.
The door opened and Ace's head peeked in.
"Was that you hitting the wall?" He asked coming and and shutting the door fully.
"Yes, who else would it be?" I asked angrily.
"I don't understand you." He said studying my face.
"Me? I don't understand you! One minute you are nice and gentle and the next minute you are an asshole."
"That's how I am doll face. Deal with it."
"I am dealing with it. You are the one who is always up in my...my...my grill." I said stumbling for words. He looked at me and began laughing.
"Your grill?" He laughed and I bit back a smile.
"Yes. Just leave me alone. Please." I asked annoyed. I rubbed my temples as he blocked the doorway.
"I am afraid I cannot do that doll face." He said and I frowned at him,
"What do you mean? Just leave me alone for once. You give me too much stress." I sighed.
"Good and I will continue because..." He trailed off.
"Because what?" I asked folding my arms across my chest.
"Because I like your annoying ass, okay?" He said angrily.
"What?" I asked.
"Yes. I like your annoying ass; I think you are incredibly sexy and funny and a very smart person." He grumbled not meeting my gaze.
"Wow...uh...okay." I said not really sure what to say.
"I knew it. This is why I don't believe in love. You tell someone something and they fucking reject you because everyone is a stuck up asshole." He said turning away from me.
"One; I am not a stuck up asshole and two give me a second to comprehend what you just said you idiot." I said looking to the floor. He sighed heavily and I looked up.
"So this is how you demonstrate your love for someone? You annoy the hell out of them?" I asked breaking into a smile. I saw a faint blush creep into his face. I stepped towards him and grabbed his face placing my lips inches from him.
"I hate it when you flirt and kiss other girls. Now you're mine and mine only." I said lowly.
