Chapter 37:

Ace's POV:

"You look so beautiful, Storm." Kate smiled. Storm sat on the couch in my apartment in sweat pants and a long sleeve with her hair up in a bun and no makeup on.

"I have no makeup on, I'm in sweats and my hair is messy." She said confused.

"You look fine." I said pulling out a bottle of scotch for Stephen and I.

"So what's the deal with you and Mark?" Storm asked. Kate let out a huge sigh.

"I know it's bad but you already hate me-"

"I don't hate you." Storm said.

"Your father at the time was just beginning his business. I supplied him with money from Andrew and in return he brought us in even more money." She explained.

"So what's the deal with the whole aboriginal thing then? Da- Mark said you were too into the whole thing."

"I was and I still am. I do appreciate our culture and your 'father' thought I was crazy for it."

"So how did he let you name me Storm?" Storm asked.

"That was a time when Mark adored me." Kate smiled. Stephen scoffed at her and she sent him a warning glare.

"So you played him? That's a little devious." She said.

"I know but deep down Mark was just as devious and vindictive." She sighed.

"How? For the longest time you guys seemed happy." Storm asked confused.

"In front of you of course. Behind closed doors he would call me every name in the book once he got professional. He said I was just arm candy for him other then that I was just another savage."

"Oh..." Storm whispered.

"Yep. He said another savage who somehow gave him a golden daughter, but that daughter was never his."

"Nope she's mine and she's following in daddy's footsteps." Stephen grinned. I laughed lightly pouring myself another glass.

"Well we better hit the rode, Steph." Kate said.

"Why?" He asked swallowing the last bit in his glass.

"We have to go take care of Mr. Joseph Cartell who has not paid Andrew." Kate sighed standing up. Stephen groaned.

"I don't understand people. You make our jobs so difficult by doing shit like this. Just pay what you need to pay and none of this would ever happen. But no now we have to go deal with Mr. Joseph Cartell." Stephen sighed.

"Unfortunately we do and I am driving since you are downing that scotch like it's water." She teased. He tossed her the keys and Storm stood up.

"When will you be back?" She asked.

"Soon honey. Don't worry." She assured kissing her head.

"Don't worry kiddo, we are always around." Stephen laughed. Storm smiled and rolled her eyes as they said good bye.

I took off my suit jacket and rolled up my sleeves and loosened my tie as Storm tidied up the couch. She turned to me and pulled down her shirt.

"What now?" She asked as she spun around.

"What do you want to do?" I asked putting away Stephen's glass.

"Oh I don't know." She sighed leaning on her chin. I placed my hands on the counter and stared at her.

"What?" She asked smiling.

"Nothing." I said simply continuing to stare at her. Soon a small blush began to creep into her cheeks.

"Why are you blushing?" I asked chuckling slightly as her cheeks went red even more.

"Because you are staring at me!" She laughed.

"What? I can't look at you?" I asked.

"No you can't."

"Why?"

"Because I don't like it when you do. It is too much pressure."

"Why?" I asked again.

"Because I have to try and look cute."

"No you don't. You're gorgeous." I assured and she smiled blushing again.

"Stop..." She said turning away. I laughed at her and she sighed.

"Stop laughing!" She called walking into my bedroom.
