Chapter 35:

"I swear to God I hate it here." I whispered and one of the gunmen pointed at me with their gun. Ace frowned and stood in front of me and held up his gun.

"I thought you died you fucker." 'Charles' spat angrily.

"You cannot kill what is already dead." Andrew said lowly.

"Wow that was really poetic." I whispered.

"Fuck off with that bullshit, Andrew. I shot you in the chest nine times!" He yelled.

"Fifty cent got shot nine times and he was still walking around and making music." I scoffed.

"Alright who is the sarcastic bitch?" He asked gesturing behind Ace.

"No one you need to worry about Charles. You are here for me now tell me what you want." Andrew demanded.

"I want to kill you and your son." He said simply. I lightly touched Ace's back and he touched my hip gently.

"Maybe another time, Charles." Andrew smiled. At that moment numerous men on top of the building stood up aiming assault rifles at Charles and his gunmen. Men popped up behind Ace's car ready to shoot as well.

"Wow." I said surprised. The door swung open and the guy from a couple of weeks back named Keith. He stepped through and nodded towards Ace.

"Keith, thank you son." Andrew said looking to Charles and his men who slowly lowered the guns in their hands. They backed off as Charles glared at Andrew.

"You better sleep with one eye open." He spat before returning around the building.

"Thanks boys." Keith said to all the men. They all nodded and turned away and I frowned confused pinching the bridge of my nose. I felt dizzy from the adrenaline pumping through me.

"How did you know?" Ace asked him smiling.

"I always had them on hand when I saw your father. Also Kate messaged me." Keith answered gesturing to my mother. I looked back and she smiled holding up her phone on speaker.

"When you moved I shuffled behind you and Ace." She said.

"Nice...I need to uh...sit down." I said breathlessly. I held onto the wall as I walked inside.

"You alright?" Ace asked following me. He placed a hand on my back and I nodded while walking to the lounge. I made my way in and sat down rubbing my temples. Ace disappeared into the hallway and returned with a cold damp cloth.

"You're warm." He murmured lightly touching my head.

"I feel fat and hot and tired." I sighed as he placed the cloth on my forehead. The coldness soothed my head and calmed my heart rate as I closed my eyes.

"Why don't you lay back?" He asked.

"Yea, all this excitement and adrenaline is messing with me." I said brushing it off. I laid back on a pillow as he disappeared again into the hallway, he came back with a light blanket and he placed it over me.

"I will lock the door so no one comes in." He assured.

"Okay." I yawned closing my eyes.
