Chapter 34:

AN: Swearing as usual...

"Mom?" I asked surprised.

"No fucking way..." Ace said. The blond haired woman looked to Ace and smiled.

"Ace, let me tell her." She said softly. Tell me what? How did she know Ace?

"What? What's wrong?" I asked as she slowly stepped towards me.

"Honey, I am so sorry I didn't tell you. I should have told you when you were old enough so you would not have been dragged into all this." She said gesturing around her.

"I can't believe this." Ace sighed and my heart began to beat faster.

"Believe what? What's wrong?" I asked quietly.

"Kate?" Someone asked and I turned to see Stephen at the door staring at my mom with a loving look.

"Stephen? Why the fuck is Stephen involved?" I asked confused. Goddammit Stephen...

"Storm, Stephen is your re-"

"Oh my God don't say it, don't say it, don't say it...Mark Callaway is not my dad and Stephen is and you left because you knew Mark was not my father. This is like some teenage soap opera like Degrassi or something dumb." I sighed angrily.

"She is smart." Stephen said and I groaned angrily.

"How could you do that? Mark Callaway is a stranger and you let me live with him. In his house without you! What kind of mother and real father are you!?" I yelled rubbing my temples. They let me live alone in a house with a complete stranger. Fantastic.

"Storm..." She began and I turned around angrily.

"You don't get to call me Storm. My mom would never do something like that to me." I said, I was absolutely furious with her.

"Stormy I left because of something important." She said sadly. I rolled my eyes and laughed sarcastically.

"Something more important than me?" I asked and she stared at me shocked.

"It is not like that Storm, please." She begged. The door opened again and Andrew stepped out.

"Ah Katie, you are back." He said.

"Holy fuck we got more people involved. How the hell does he get into this mess!?" I exclaimed.

"Your mother works for me." He said and I rolled my eyes and groaned loudly again.

"Why the fuck does a Canadian aboriginal woman work in the mafia?" I asked. Where do you see that? Well evidently here.

"Your mother is a very hard worker, she does my business across Canada for me. Unfortunately she hated Mark so we played a little role to get us money and to get her out." He explained.

"But, Mark didn't pay up." She sighed loading her gun that had the 'AR' initials on it.

"This is so fucked up." I sighed

"Storm, I wanted to tell you; I just didn't want to take you away from your friends and your home. You were comfortable and happy here." She explained.

"Mom, Miranda was a slut who went after my money. Other then that I was just happy because of you and school." I said. She sighed sadly and looked down slumping her shoulders.

"I know; and I am so sorry." She apologized. No one said anything and I turned to Stephen.

"And you!" I said pointing a finger and he looked at me confused.

"Me?"

"I swore you were flirting with me! You wanted to buy me!" I said disgusted.

"Stephen, seriously?" My mom sighed pinching the bridge of her nose.

"You told me we had a kid; you didn't say anything else until last week when you called me." He said in defense.

"Idiot..." My mom and I both muttered at the same time. I looked at my young mother and forced a smile. We were the exact same height and some people often called us sisters. I did miss her. I missed her a lot.

"How old are you? You look like you're twenty." I said.

"I am thirty-seven." He said. I shook my head rolling my eyes. I went to say something but was interrupted rudely by people.

"There they are." We turned back and five men with guns pointed them at Andrew and Ace. I immediately put my hands up as my mom and Stephen- or dad? Pulled out their guns.

"Charles...you're still kicking around?" Andrew asked grinning.
