Interveiw #21 With Dezzyragz

When did you join wattpad? Why?

I joined wattpad on Feburary 20th because I kept asking my mom to get any of my books published for my birthday. At the time my Aunt was paying us a visit and she knew of this site, so she gave me the link and now I'm a happy little fellow!

Why should readers check out your work?

My readers should check out my stories because they contain lots of action and ideas that can happen (sometimes) in real life. I'm sure they would interest people if they would give my books a chance.

What genres do you write in?

I write vampire, werewolf (although I haven't posted a werewolf story on this site...yet), fantasy, action, and a few bits and pieces of romance I like to add to other genres to give it a little flavor.

How many stories have you posted?

I have posted three. One is a collection of my poetry (that I've written from elementary school to present day. Another is my vampire book (Her Discovery) and my last one is my Fantasy/Historical Fiction (Adventures of an Elemental).

Which of your stories is most popular? Why?

Her Discovery is the most popular probably because I have advertised it more and I am in two book clubs where I am having a group of many readers and writers review Her Discovery and offer me feedback. It isn't exactly famous like some of the other books I have seen, but it is still pretty awesome for me c:

Who inspired you to begin writing?

Many, many, MANY authors. I have been just reading so much that I decided to write my own book(s). Before then, I've been having fantasies of what I would do if I were in a certain situation, so I technically inspired myself. Although I have been getting many supporters. Like my family and close friends.

Who are your favorite authors? Do they influence your writing?

My favorite author? I don't think I have a favorite to be honest. I read so much. But I suppose if I had to choose it would be Nicholas Sparks. He has so many good books I have no idea how he does it, he is just loads of talent. No, he doesn't particularly inspire me or influence me in anyway. It's more like the billions of fictional authors have given me crazy ideas and whatnot.

What is the best part of writing?

The best part of writing for me is just letting my feelings show through my characters. I FANTASIZE that these magical things will happen to me (no matter the danger), so to let my feelings flow through all of my characters to me is just truly amazing.

When do you write?

I write everyday. It may be in small portions or large portions, but I write. In my free time, I write. When I'm eating, I write. heck, when I'm showering I could be writing...mentally. Haha!

How do you stop writers block?

I bang my head up against a wall. LOL no, jk. Um, I don't really stop it. I force myself to write whether I like it or not. If I don't like the scenario, I trash my writing and start over until i get it right. It's just another block in the road to success that you have to jump over in order to win the game.

Any unique ways to find inspiration?

If you have a hobby, I'm sure there are ways you can morph that hobby into a job. If you can't figure out any thing you like to do, a matter of searching will not take long. if you like to read, you may like to write. If you like to watch soccer on the telly, playing soccer may be your hobby. It's just a matter of recognizing the small things you do in life and trying to enjoy your time once it is noticed.
