How long have you been on wattpad?

Well I joined the Wattpad community in September 2011.

How many stories have you posted here?

At the moment I only have one story, called 'Howling Fury'. I used to have another but decided to delete it because I had a better idea with a very similar story-line.

Which of your stories are most popular? Why?

Well my 'Howling Fury' story seems to be popular with over 19,000 reads. I think it might be because the storyline is slightly different but I couldn't say for sure.

Which of your stories are you most proud of? Why?

So far, the only story I've posted is the one I'm most proud of. However once I find the time to write more stories perhaps that opinion will change.

What inspires you to write?

My family, friends and the people who read my story. I also gain alot of inspiration from various movies and other books.

What is the worst story youve ever written?

Oh god. Let me think. When I was younger, maybe around ten, I wrote a story about a squiggle. About it's adventures in the drawing world and how it always had to escape the rubber. Oh man I can't believe I just told you that!! I've never told anyone that before!!

Why did you decide to write?

Well I had so many ideas in my head I just had to start writing! I wasn't sure whether I would publish at first because, to be honest, I wasn't sure anyone would actually read my book. To my surprise, people have.

Wat is the worst part of the writing process? The best?

The worst part has to be writers block. I mean in my head I can see each part of the book, it's just figuring out how to connect them all. Sometimes I find it rather frustrating! The best part has to be the fact that you can get lost in writing. If I'm stressed or upset, I just open my notepad and put pen to paper. I always find it makes me feel better.

Any tips for new writers?

Yes. Have confidence in your own work. Don't doubt your ideas just because no one else has written about the same thing. In fact its BETTER if no one else has written about your idea. It means that it won't be cliched. Also, if someone criticises your book, don't feel down or be put off. In fact, it's a good thing. It means that user has taken the time to actually read your book and give you any advice you may need. It''s always good to at least listen to your readers, even if you don't heed their advice.

How do you handle writers block?

I watch movies or read books; whether the books are from famous, well known authors or even wattpad authors. I find reading some of the various stories on this website can really get the creative juices flowing.

How do you promote your stories?

Honestly, I don't anymore. At first I was in the SYS club trying to get people to read my new story but I stopped after a while. I just felt as though I was irritating people.

Who are you favorate writers? How do they inspire you?

My favorate authors include Darren Shan, Jim Butcher, J.K Rowling and J.R.R Tolkien. I just think their work is amazing and really imaginative. If I'm ever struggling for something to read, I can always fall back on these books.

What influences your writing the most?

Oh that's a hard one. At least to me anyway. Well the comments and support I recieve is definetaly a factor. If users don't like something about my book, I change it slightly. What else...? My family and friends influence me alot. Without their support I doubt I would have the confidence to publish my book online.
