When did you join wattpad?

Almost a year ago, at the end of the summer ’12. About the time when Fictionpress.com stopped wanting to post my stories ;)

What is the best part of writing?

The best part of writing by far is imagining things. I love to think up stories, but most importantly, I like to think up people. It’s close to impossible to create a believable character, and I like the challenge, just as I love how the characters become real in your mind and you always seem to find out new things about them.

Why did you decide to become a writer?

As a child I loved to read and it came naturally to me to start writing. I’ve always been imaginative and I get inspired so easily, I had to get some of it our somehow.

Where do you see your writing career in 10 years?

Hopefully, it’s bright. But I don’t know. Maybe my writing career in 10 years will consist of me starting a ph.d.? Or I’m published? Or I’m still just posting stories on Wattpad? I don’t know yet, so I’ll just see how it goes.

Why did you become an author?

It’s a way for me to get my stories out to people, I think. If you mean writer as the type of person who just writes for themselves, and the author being the writer who publishes his stories. I like to see how others view the persons and stories – we’re all different, and therefore my story will change depending on who reads it. I always love to get feedback from readers, telling me their view of the story. It’s the best kind of feedback, I think.

Do you plan on publishing any books?

Yes, if it’s possible. Obviously, I know it’s possible to self-publish, but that’s not what I want. I want to publish the oldfashioned way if at all.

Who are your favorate authors? How do they inspire you? I loved Ken Follett’s Pillars Of The Earth. It inspired me in so many ways, because you follow ordinary people throughout their entire lifetime and see how they unconciously affect history. I also loved Philip Gardiner’s Secret Societies, even if it’s nonfiction. It’s very inspiring and I feel like it gave me a new way of looking at the world.

How do you practice writing?

I just write. I don’t believe that it should be that complicated. To me, it’s just sitting down and writing what comes to my mind.

What is the hardest part of writing?

Not getting distracted, definitely. Internet can be a bitch sometimes.

When do you prefer to write?

In the nighttime. It seems I’m more creative and it’s harder to get distracted somehow.

How often do you update?

I try to update once a week, but lately my updates have been a bit irregular due to my swimming practice and personal stuff :)

Any closing comments?

Hmm… I don’t know. Well, perhaps I could mention that a lot of the things that inspired me about Philip Gardiner’s book have been used for Idunn’s Apples, my current main focus. So if you like occult stuff, I hope you’ll check it out.
