1) When did you join wattpad? How did you find the site?
I was surfing through the internet for free romance stories. I have a thing for romance and mystery. And soon, I saw an orange icon named Wattpad. As Curiosity killed the cat, I came to know about the site and here I am :)
2) When did you first start writing? Why did you begin?
My school was a vast school with about 7000 students and a magazine was held monthly. Many candidates had applied for a section called- ‘Reality Matters.’ In that section we had to bring up problems of a class, or a group of students, brief it, tell the lacking of the school and suggest some measures. And surprisingly, I was chosen after a small test. And that was the brief period where writing started for me
.On Wattpad, as I continued reading stories, many concepts and plots flowed in my mind. And over the time, I completed those stories in my mind. My imagination was the most important reason why I started writing stories. And I decided to share it with my readers.
3)What is the most rewarding part of writing?
When my fingers start tapping themselves against the keys of keyboard, I feel peace. Once that chapter is completed and posted, it feels like my story is happening in real life and with each chapter, it is coming to an end. All my stories till now are fictional but I believe they are real. It is the most rewarding part of writing. The feeling my mind gets after it is completed.
4)-What is the most stressful part of writing? How do you overcome it?
Sometimes, when a part of my story is not working well or is not satisfying me, I’ll be honest, I think of taking my laptop and breaking it. Frustration seeps into me until I have completed it. And due to it, more delay takes place. Then for one hour I keep my laptop away from my eye-sight, watch T.V, chat with my friends or do any non-writing related thing. Then, when I am fresh and have no thought in my mind regarding my chapter, I again start writing it with full attention. Distraction helps a lot.
5)-How do you plan before writing a story? Is there a certain way you organize?
Many times, yes there is a plan before I write. I first recall in my mind how I want the chapter to start, what should it convey, how the ending should be. After it is recalled, it is pretty much easy to write the chapter down. But this is what I do to chapters. Organization is not of my trait to write a story. I just know the summary and plan the story as I write.
6)-Why would readers check out your work?
For every story, number of reads shows the success of the story. I would like if people would check out my work, to help me improve. And I would like to know their thoughts about what they think of my work. I can assure I always keep reader’s mind into my perspective when I write.
7)-What kinds of stories do you write?
I write Romance, Humor, Mystery and Teen-Fiction. But my most loved genres are Romance and Mystery. And when they combine, I am all for it!
8)-What influences your writing?
Many things. Mainly I need a quiet room with possible no disturbances once I am in the story. My mood changes a lot. And so does my writing schedules.
9)-If you where stuck in a closet with one of your characters, who would it be and why?
Avery from my story from As The Sun Sets. She is a carefree, sarcastic, family-loving, a little vulnerable to her thoughts & a responsible girl. I think she is some-what just like me and I would love to spend time with her.
10)-What is the worst story you’ve ever written?
It was my first story, Oh This Life!!!! I deleted it as there was no main plot to the story.
11)-Where do you find writing inspiration?
I love J.K.Rowling and Harry Potter series. If you would read her biography, you would come to know that she thought of entire Harry Potter set in 4 hours when her train had stopped mid-way due to faulty connection. I mean, in four hours? Unbelievable. And that time, she was jobless with a daughter and she has said-‘Harry was her only escape.’ And now look! She is my main inspiration apart from my English teacher.
12)-Any closing comments?
Thank you for reading this till the end and I would love if you check out any of my works and give me your feedback. Thanks a lot friends!!
