Elodie's P.O.V

I was on my Dads doorstep, planning what I was gonna say when the door swung open. "Elodie!" he cried, engulfing me into a massive hug.

I hugged back, "hey Dad!"

He motioned for me to come in and I removed my shoes and coat and felt the plush carpet between my toes. I walked into the dining room and took a seat in one of the chairs. I breathed in the smell of the food laid out on the table, which consisted of roast chicken, potatoes, broccoli and pigs in blanket. I felt my mouth water as I looked at the food and waited for my Dad to take a seat opposite me.

He lowered himself into a chair and we piled food onto our plates, well I did. I filled my plate completely and my Dad only filled about half his plate. "Are you sure that's enough?" my Dad joked.

"Yep," I giggled and picked up my fork.

"You won't be able to finish it," my Dad stated and I rolled my eyes.

-

By the end of the meal, all the food on my plate was completely gone and my Dad couldn't even finish his. His eyes widened at my plate when he saw me finish the last fork of food.

"Wow! It's like you can eat for two people!" he exclaimed and I laughed guiltily.

I picked up the plates and cutlery and put them in the sink, while my Dad took all the left overs and put them in the fridge. I filled the sink with warm water and scrubbed the dirty plates, forks and knives with washing up liquid.

When I finished, I passed them to my Dad to dry and he put them in the cupboard.

We sat down on the sofas and watched a bit of T.V, while chatting to each other.

I kept on looking down at my hands and fiddling with my fingers. "Elodie!" my Dad called, snapping me out of my thoughts. I blinked and looked at him.

"What?!" I asked.

"You've been weird all day, what's going on?" he said. He knew me too well.

"I need to tell you something, but you need to listen to me."

"Okay," he said, looking at me with concern.

"Firstly, I'm pregnant, which is probably why I ate so much. The baby is Beau's. Well I should say babies because I pregnant with twin boys." My Dads eyes widened but I carried on. "Because of my career, I need to move to Melbourne and that also means I'll be closer to Beau. What do you think?"

"Congratulations!" he said finally. "I'm fine with it! Of course I'll miss you and you won't be here with me, but if it's better for the children and your career, I agree with it. I'm happy for you!"

I hugged him close and felt the tears wet his shirt. I was gonna miss him so much.

(The day of the flight, leaving day) -

I gathered the last of my stuff and piled it into the moving van. Because all my stuff was in the van, I didn't need much in the plane, just hand luggage. Jess had said goodbye to her family and my Dad was round with Lewis to say goodbye.

My eyes were watering as I looked at my empty house. This was it, I was leaving everything I knew behind and going to something new. Beau still didn't know what was happening, so Luke was picking us up from the airport because he just got his driving license.

I waved the van off and turned around to Lewis. His eyes were watering and I hugged him.

"Promise to visit?" I asked him.
