Chapter 3

"Did you sign me up on this stupid dating site?! Umamin ka nga!" Alex yelled in annoyance. She can't think of someone who can do such thing but him. Nag peace sign lang ito at maamong ngumiti matapos kumalma sa kakatili.

She read the message twice to make sure that it wasn't just a scam.

The email congratulates her for being one of the chosen girls who will have the glorious fate to meet the man of their dreams in few days time.

"Saturday night is your lucky night," she read loudly and sarcastically, "be prepared and enjoy the ride? Ha! Anong kakornihan to!? Mapapatay talaga kita, Robert!" singhal niya sa kaibigan.

People were looking at them like two crazy peps who just escaped from a mental institution. But Alex couldn't care less. She's more concern on how to slaughter her friend and throw him out to Manila Bay.

Bubbles hugged her tight to defend himself while showing off his pleading eyes. "E friend, ginamit ko lang naman yung name saka email address mo, e. Alam mo namang wala akong boobs, wala rin akong ultra v kaya hindi talaga ako qualified dyan so I used your information instead. Minsan lang to mangyari kaya pagbigyan mo na ko, please? Alam mo bang ikaw ang pinakamasyerteng tomboy sa balat ng earth ngayon? Ikaw ang nag wagi!" pangungumbinsi nito but it will never work on her.

Pinalis niya ang dalawang braso nito at pumiksi. It just ignited her desire to kill him with her own hands.

She stood up and decided to grab her things at baka kung ano pa ang magawa niya rito.

"Tell them I'm not interested kung ayaw mong ilibing kita ng buhay!"

"Pero-"

"Gawin mo!"

"E kung ayoko?" nakangusong hamon nito.

"You know me, Bubbles! Don't give me reason to disown you as my friend!" banta niya rito.

Nakipagsukatan muna ito ng tingin bago sumuko. He never win in any of their arguments anyway.

"Oo na! Kahit kelan killjoy ka talaga. Swerte na, ginawa mo pang bato! Bakit ba kasi ikaw pa ang naging babae?!" anito.

She raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Buti na lang at hindi ikaw ang naging babae dahil pag nagkataon,  siguradong ikaw ang magiging leader ng malalanding hipon ngayon."

Her day was already ruined. Thanks to her awesome friend.

"Where have you been?" her sister asked.

Hindi niya ito pinansin. She went straight to her room and locked the door to avoid any interrogation from her. Bukas niya na lang ito kakausapin when everything's cool.

She was about to take a bath when her phone beeped consecutively. Kinuha niya ito agad and checked if who is calling.

Unknown number? Teka, ba't parang overseas to? Did my parents change their number without telling me? may pagtatakang tanong niya sa sarili.

"Hello?" She greeted hesitantly.

"Hi! Am I speaking to Alexandra Sandoval?" The foreign tone greeted her back.

"Yes? Who's this?" Kunot noong tanong niya.

"On behalf of Bachelor's Night team, we would like to congratulate you, Miss Sandoval! You're one of our lucky queens who will have her dream date this coming Saturday. We will give you all the details tomorrow through emails and someone will come to your house to provide everything you need on your date. Enjoy and have fun!" Magiliw na anunsyo nito.

Can someone explain to me what the fuck is going on? sigaw ng utak niya.

She was trying to absorb all the things she said at baka namali lang sya ng dinig, and when she finally realized the thought, her lips automatically formed into a thin line out of ire.

"There must be a misunderstanding here. I did not sign up for that site or let alone pick someone to be my date. That's ridiculous! Can you just cancel it out? I'm not interested." She hoped that her message was crystal clear. Ngayon pa lang pinaplano niya na kung pano kalbuhin at ibitin ng patiwarik ang kaibigang si Bubbles.

Tumahimik muna ng ilang segundo ang nasa kabilang linya bago ito sumagot.

"I'm sorry, Miss Sandoval, but I'm afraid we cannot do that. In order for you to back out, you need to pay for all the preparations we've made for your upcoming date. It's one of the million rules, and I'm sure you don't want to hear the amount."
