Kanina pa hindi mapakali si Alex sa loob ng sasakyan at halos hindi na rin maipinta ang mukha niya. Bukod sa hindi siya komportable sa floral dress na suot, pinagpapawisan na rin siya sa sobrang kaba na nararamdaman. She wasn't supposed to feel that way pero pakiramdam niya ay may hindi magandang mangyayari that fateful night.

Hindi niya alam kung pa'no tatakasan ang araw na yun lalo na't bantay sarado siya ng dalawang chaperon. 7 pm pa lang ay nandun na ang mga ito sa bahay nila much to her dismay.

They were instructed to tag along for the whole preparation of her much awaited date, not that she was dreaming for it to happened and made sure that she will not get the slightest chance of escaping.

Somehow she found it annoying and confusing at the same time lalo na't pinilit pa talaga siya ng mga ito na mag ayos. Her sister was not being of help either. Tila tuwang tuwa pa ito sa mga pangyayari at agad ibinalita sa mga magulang nila na lalong nagpayamot sa kanya.

"Malapit na tayo, ma'am," biglang anunsyo ng driver. Her mind went zilch for a second. Hindi niya pa rin lubos maisip na mangyayari ito sa kanya. Her friend, Bubbles, did a great job in making her Saturday night into a nightmare that she probably won't forget.

"You look pale, Miss Sandoval. Just relax and everything will be fine," the old lady beside her commented. She did not respond and pretended not to hear anything.

Nagtaka siya kung bakit sa isang malaking mansyon huminto ang sasakyan. She was expecting of a fine dining restaurant where all elite people usually eat dahil yun naman talaga ang nakapaloob sa email na natanggap niya.

"Bakit dito? Is this some kind of a joke?" she asked suspiciously. After all wala naman talaga syang masyadong alam sa website na yan. Ni wala rin siyang idea kung anong itsura nang makaka date niya. She did not even bother to look at his profile. Malay niya ba kung front lamang ito ng mga taong ang habol lang e kasamaan. But she immediately brush off the thought. Who would even dare to kidnap her?

Yeah, right, she murmured to herself.

"This is where your bachelor would like to have his date with you. It's a personal request that we cannot refuse," sagot nang matanda and motioned her to follow.

Ang arte! she thought.

"Can't you be a little bit faster, Miss Sandoval?" tanong nung isang babae na kasama rin nila. Tantya niya ay mas matanda lamang ito ng ilang taon sa kanya.

"How do you expect me to walk faster when both of you forced me to wear these ridiculous five-heel shoes? Kung sana pinagsuot niyo na lang ako nang flipflops edi wala kayong magiging problema sakin," she screeched.

The girl was about to say something but the old lady interrupted.

"We don't have time. Let's go."

"O, ano? Baka gusto mong magka heels din yang pisngi mo?" pahabol niya pero hinawakan na siya ng matanda sa braso and escorted her up to the entrance of the luxurious mansion.

Agad sumalubong ang ilang katulong at isang magandang babae. Itsura pa lang alam niya nang hindi ito basta-basta. She was elegant in every sense of the word.

"Good evening, Miss Montenegro. It's our pleasure to finally meet you," the old lady greeted followed by the other girl. Habang siya ay parang timang na nakatayo lang sa gitna.

"The pleasure is all mine. Thank you for escorting our guest all the way here. Is this Alexandra Sandoval?" the glamorous woman asked and smile.

"You're very welcome. And y-yes, she is," may pag-aalinlangang tugon ng mantanda. She immediately eyed Alex to say something pero tumango lang ang huli.

"Hi, Alex. I'm Shanon Montenegro. I'm so trilled and happy to see you. You look good by the way," magiliw nitong bati sa kanya and extended her hand for a shake. Hindi niya alam kung labas lang ba sa ilong ang huling sinabi nito pero mukha naman itong sincere.

Tinanggap niya ang pakikipag kamay nito and say her thank you.

"Come on in. I'll walk you through the place. My brother is already waiting for you."

Her body suddenly froze for awhile. Hindi niya alam pero bigla siyang nanlamig. It has been a couple of years since her last date kahit pa sabihing napipilitan lamang siya ngayon.

Huminga muna siya nang malalim bago tuluyang sumunod dito.

This is it, Alex! Keep yourself sane just for tonight!
