I was in the middle of my major class when boredom crept the hell out of me. I tried texting Bubbles but our evil prof caught me on the act. His nerve erupted within seconds and snatched my poor device right away.

Terror ang kalbong yan. Kung bibilangin ang lahat ng death treath na nakukuha nito kada buwan from all the random students in our University, siguradong kukulangin ang lahat ng dalari ng mga studyanteng naging under nito.

"Detention mamaya, Sandoval," kunot noong paalala nito. "As I was saying, we will have our first field trip this semester. It will be on--"

The door opened abruptly, tila walang pakialam ang kung sino mang nasa labas at basta na lamang pumasok ng walang pahintulot.

"Yes?" iratadong tanong ni Mr. Katakutan. Kahit si Leonardo mahihirapang ipinta ang pagmumukha nito. "W-wait. Is that you, Mr. Montenegro? What a surprise! Anong maipag--"

"Not you."

Teka! Kahit natatawa ako sa biglang pag-asim ng mukha ni kalbo, that did not pacify the thought of Zachary being here out of nowhere. The last time I checked akala ko kinalimutan niya na lahat.

Isang linggo na ang nakakaraan matapos ang walang kwentang date namin na nauwi sa biglaang proposal.

I agreed to his offer pero binawi ko rin agad.

I walked out of his room and ended the night with peace. Akala ko dun na matatapos ang lahat. Wala na rin akong natanggap na update mula sa Bachelor so I closed that horrible chapter of my life tapos bigla siyang susulpot!?

He roamed his eyes around the area which caused more giggles at the back--mula sa mga babaeng paniki na pinaglihi sa kalandian.

"Gather your things and come with me," utos niya when he found me at the corner. Baliw at arogante talaga ang hudyo kahit kelan.

"Who you?" baliwala kong tanong.

Inis niya akong tinignan. "Come with me or I'll drag you down myself."

"Baliw ka ba talaga? Wala kang karapatan!" I snapped.

"This is your start day. Get up."

"I told you I was kidding before I leave!"

"I won't take no for an answer."

Sa isang iglap hawak niya na ang braso ko. Bago kami makalabas kinausap muna niya si kalbo.

"Would this be a problem?" tanong niya rito.

"A, e, hindi naman. You can take Miss Sandoval with you. By all means." Todo ngiti ang matanda.

Based on the old man's reaction mukhang may alam ito sa pagkatao ng binata.

Pwersahan kong hinatak ang kamay ko nang makalabas na kami ng classroom.

"I told you I'm not coming!" Asik ko rito.

He did not say a word. May kinuha itong kung ano mula sa bulsa niya and hand it to me.

Napililatan akong tinignan yun.

I almost choked myself when I scanned the paper. It took me few minutes before I could even react.

"One hundred thousand pesos!? Are you kidding me!?"

"That's good for one month."

"T-teka nga. Bakit ba ako!? Pwede ka namang may hire ng professional handler mo!"

"Bakit hindi? Mas interesado ako sa'yo."

I stood still, glaring at him and trying to absord everything.
