The sky was dark with thousands of stars sparkling brightly. A dark figure walked slowly down a road leading to a little town known as the Shire. The figure was wrapped in all black to avoid being detected. With the hood of her cloak pulled over her head you couldn't tell any features other than a small chunk of bright orange hair tied in a braid. The figure stopped in front of a door with a glowing blue symbol.
She knocked on the door and waited patiently. The door opened to reveal a short man with curly brown hair and bright green eyes. The man's face held a look of confusion and slight irritation.
"May I help you?" He asked politely. The female smiled under her hood.
"Yes, you can actually! I'm looking for a place to stay, just for the night, while I wait for a friend." Came a silky sweet voice, like it was coated in honey.
Though the voice held a tone that felt forbidding to the man, almost as though under the honey laid poison.
"Uh sure. I'm just having dinner if you wish to join me." The man stepped aside to let the stranger in. "My name is Bilbo Baggins. I don't believe you have told me yours."
"I have not told you my name, for I don't feel the need to tell you." The female said and took off her cloak.
Bilbo watched as the strange female hung up her cloak then turn to him. The female had long bright orange hair that turned dark red at the ends. Her face looked like something out of a fairy tale, one about beautiful creatures. Dark golden eyes bore into Bilbo's bright green ones. Her hair was brushed back with only some parts of it braided. The rest was left to fall down her back in orange waves that looked like fire.
"I need to know your name if you are going to be staying here," Bilbo argued.
"I will only be staying a night, Mr. Baggins." She said. Her dark gold eyes brightened a little and faint white swirls appeared under her eyes. Before Bilbo could say anything there was a heavy knock on the door.
The female wonder away from the door where a muscular dwarf stood. She sat on the window seal, watching the dwarf with a slight smile.
"Where's is it?" The dwarf asked. Bilbo looked confused.
"Where is what?" He asked back.
"The food." Was the only answer before the dwarf went into the dinning room area.
There was another knock on the door and Bilbo came running to it. He opened it to reveal a short dwarf with a white beard. The dwarf turned to Bilbo and smiled.
"Balin at your service." The dwarf said, bowing.
"Good evening?" Bilbo said but it sounded more like a question.
"Yes it is. Though it looks like it might rain." Balin said and walked inside.
He walked towards Dwalin, who was eating some biscuits. Dwalin turned and looked at Balin."Well brother you have gotten shorter and wider since the last I saw you," Dwalin said.
"Wider not shorter brother," Balin said. They placed there hands on each others shoulders and then smack heads.
The female in the window jumped down and went straight to the door after hearing a knock. Bilbo was to preoccupied with Balin and Dwalin in his pantry. She opened the door to see two dwarves. One had blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a moustache that was braided, he reminded her of a lion. The other one had shoulder length dark brown hair, almost black, brown eyes, and next to no beard; reminding her of a wolf.
"Fili," the lion said.
"And Kili," said the wolf.
"At your service." They both said and bowed. The female gave a small nod.
