“Are you ready?” Bella asked me as I came out of my dorm sleepy eyed. “Hogsmeage is today! Can’t you act more excited?”

I smiled at her. “I am excited. I’m ecstatic actually. It’ll be the first time that I see Draco since he told me that he loves me.”

Bella stopped in her tracks to turn around and look at me. “What? He told you that he loves you?” she said with no emotion at all. “When did he tell you that, Han?”

“Last night,” I said looking at her oddly. “Bells, is there something wrong?”

She swallowed hard before shaking her head. “Of course not. Why would I be? We’re going to Hogsmeade today! I’m going on my first blind date. You’re going with your boyfriend that you love. Everything is going to go swimmingly today. Right?”

I wasn’t convinced of it though. Her tone had changed when I told her that Draco told me that he loved me. Did she know something that I didn’t? She was always a step ahead of me in the gossip train. What could I have possibly missed this time? Perhaps there was something else bothering her…jealousy perhaps? I didn’t have time to think on it though because at the end of the hall was Draco, standing alone, huge smile planted on his face.

“Hey, Hans,” he said, pulling me to him and planting a huge kiss on me, something that he had never done before. “I missed you.”

I smiled up at him. “I missed you as well, Drake.”

“Where’s my date?” Bella asked, looking around and seeing no one.

“He’ll be here. He promised that he would show despite the fact that he keeps telling me that he’s totally in love with some girl, but” he shrugged, “That’s Blaise for you.”

Bella snapped her head so that she was looking properly at Draco. “Did you just say Blaise?”

He nodded. “Yes. Why? Do you happen to know him? He’s not as popular as the magnificent man you see before you, but he’s still the best man if I do say so myself.”

I smiled at my best mate. She looked totally happier and excited since we left the Gryffindor tower. Just hearing Blaise’s name perked her right up. It looks like mine and Draco’s theory was correct after all. We then knew that it was for sure when Blaise turned the corner and his face broke out into a smile, his eyes full of adoration only for Bella.

“Bella?” he asked as he approached. “What are you doing here? I thought you said that you had another date.”

She nodded. “I do, and I’m guessing that you are it.”

Blaise looked over at Draco with a questioning look. “How did you know?”

“It was completely obvious, B. Who could not see that you were in love,” Draco shrugged.

“Plus,” I added, “Bella was being secretive and not around when you weren’t around. So, we just put two and two together. I’m so happy for you, Bells!”

I pulled her into a tight hug. She pulled away quickly so she could through her arms around Blaise instead. When she pulled away slightly, he kissed her gently on the mouth. Draco and I exchanged looks. We had never thought that it had escalated this much in just that little amount of time. It didn’t seem to matter though. They were in love, just as much as he and I were, so we completely understood. I kissed Draco quickly at that moment as well. He smiled down at me with his grey eyes looking more tired than usual. He was starting to get bags under his eyes as well.

“Draco, are you not getting enough sleep or something?” I said, tracing the bags with my thumb.

He shrugged. “I guess not, but it’s nothing to worry about. It’s nothing.”

I nodded and turned back to the new couple in front of us. They looked at us and we started down the hallway so that way we wouldn’t be late for breakfast. We all sat down at the Slytherin table. Blaise and Bella were drawing everyone’s attention, but they didn’t care at all. I saw Gregory at the Gryffindor table looking angry with his arm around Lavender. I waved at him and he quickly looked away. My eyes then traveled down the table and landed on Robbie. He had his arm around someone that I didn’t even think he knew. Draco tapped me on the shoulder.

“Do you see what I see?” he asked.

I nodded. “If you’re talking about Pansy and Robbie, I see.”
