I still couldn’t believe that I was letting Robbie put his arm around me, but I’d do anything to get my Draco back. I smirked at how Draco couldn’t stop glancing over at us like it was something that was so unexpected, but we also needed to get a certain tramp’s attention. Hanna Honeyyeager needed to put in her place. She just couldn’t swoop in and steal my man away from me. I know I’ve gotten to her a little. Our tutoring sessions have still been going on. That’s when I get to her all about when Draco was with me. She tenses all over as if they haven’t done it yet. I bet she’s too nervous to do anything about that part of the relationship.
“It’s working,” Robbie whispered in my ear.
I smiled and turned to look at him. “Of course it is. I’m a friggin’ genius, Rob. You should know that.”
He nodded and smiled at me, his green eyes brightening. “Do we really have to spend the whole time together? I was hoping to go odd with Gregory, Ben, and Heath for a little while. You know, do some guy things.” He shrugged.
“You’ll have a little bit of time for that. Just walk me there and meet me at the three broomsticks within an hour. Does that work for you?” I smirked.
He nodded. “Of course it does,” he paused and noticed that Gregory was looking down the table at him and Pansy, “Babe.” He grinned a lopsided grin that kind of made him look rather… I dunnno… cute?
OH MY GOSH! Did I just think that he looked a little cute? That was it. After this date, it’s over. It’s totally over. I can’t even believe that I was even thinking that at all. I. Was. Going. Nuts.
“Let’s just go,” I rolled my eyes at him and stood.
We started walking towards the exit, and Robbie did something that was totally unexpected: he grabbed my hand. Not only did he grab my hand, he intertwined his fingers with mine, just like you see on all those muggle movies. Aww, man. I just admitted that I watch muggle movies. WOW. Just so you know, I only watch the romance ones. They’re so cute!
Anyway…
It just seemed so weird to me that he would hold my hand like that. Draco had never done it. He never showed me any affection at all in public. Perhaps he would put his arm around me after a while, but other than that nothing, especially holding my hand. He had never done it. I kind of liked it. It felt really nice, like he wanted to show the whole world that we were together, but I knew better. He was just laying it on thick. A little too thick if you asked me.
“What?” he asked, noticing that I looked oddly at how our hands were fitting together so…perfectly.
I shrugged. “Nothing.” I looked away, but there was definitely something going on. Something that never happened to me.
“Is that…” Robbie asked as a huge smile spread across his face. “Are you blushing?”
I shook my head. “Of course not. What makes you think that?”
“Um, other than the fact that you’re whole face is turning red, nothing.”
“Let’s just go,” I murmured, pulling him faster along.
I spent the whole first hour just shopping with Millicent. It was a rather boring first hour. I kept thinking about Robbie and how he held my hand tenderly. Then I would wake myself up and think about Draco, but it would just go straight back to Robbie. This wasn’t good and I could tell.
“Hey,” Robbie said, smiling as he spotted me sitting alone at the Three Broomsticks. “How’s it hanging?”
I couldn’t help but smile back. “Nothing much, handsome. How about yoursfelf?”
