Poor Hanna. I could tell by the way that Draco lost his smile as soon as she left that he was thinking of breaking it off with her soon, very soon. As far as I knew, he still hadn’t told her about being a deatheater. I knew that it was eating him alive not telling her, but I could see the fear in his eyes. He’s actually afraid of the Dark Lord. He won’t do it because of her. Now that I think of it, if the Dark Lord find out about them, he could use them against us. Fear penetrated my heart as I thought of Bella. My beautiful, rude, nutty, short-tempered, sarcastic, wonderful, amazing Bella.
“Blaise?”
I turned to find Millicent, alone. That was odd to me. If I had seen her these past few months, she had been with Pansy. It was like they were attached at the hip or something. I looked at her with the oddest look on my face. I did not want to talk to her.
“Hey,” she said faintly. “Can we talk?”
Fuck it. I decided that we had better talked or else she would never leave me alone, which is the bloody damn truth. As I followed her outside, I kept thinking about Bella and what she would think if she knew that I was talking to my ex. Not that I would keep it from her…if she asked about it that is.
“Alright, this is far enough,” I said after we had gone so far into the woods. “What do you want?”
“You,” she mumbled.
My head snapped back at her so I could narrow my eyes. “What was that?”
“You! I want you back,” she said, approaching me. “I know that I messed up. I regret helping Pansy, but she’s my best friend. I just couldn’t leave her out like that. Please, take me back. I’ll do anything to make it up to her,” she bit her bottom lip after she said that last sentence.
There she was, as beautiful as the day that I asked her to be my girlfriend. Her long, flowing brown hair was being blown by the chilly wind; her pale cheeks growing pink; her full lips parting as she leaned in to kiss me. Not another thought occurred to me as she pressed her lips to mine. She swiftly put her arms around my neck as my hands went to her waist. The heat was there, but there wasn’t the sparks. The sparks were gone. That funny feeling that you got in your stomach was also gone.
Bella popped into my head. The way she laughed. The way she was totally stubborn. The way she was amazingly cute all the time. The way she always was around to protect Hanna. The way she sighs after every time we kiss. The way she makes me feel inside. The way she fills every part of me. The way she loves me.
I pulled from the kiss and caught my breath. What was I doing? Yes, Millicent was my first love. It was tragic when we broke up, but I’m absolutely in love with Bella Rae Bolyard. She’s the only one for me and I hope that I’m the only one for her. I had to find her. I needed to be with her, not with Millicent.
“Wait,” Millicent called after me. “Where do you think you’re going? We were getting back together,” there was a slight pause. “It’s that little tramp of a Gryffindor, isn’t it?”
I turned back to face her. “Tramp? I’m in love with that Gryffindor. I never thought that she would be in my life, but you can’t stop the magic of love.”
“But what about us?”
I shook my head. “We aren’t meant for each other, and I hope you can take this kind of news better than Pansy and actually get the hint. There’s someone out there for you, but it’s not me. I know where I belong, and it’s in Bella’s arms.”
She nodded. “I understand, it’s just hard you know. I loved you first, and no one can live up to my expectations now that I’ve had you.”
“There’s someone out there who will fit all of your expectations and be better for you than I ever was. Take care, Milli,” I said before waving and departing in search of my Bella.
I made my way over to where Draco and I were supposed to meet the girls, but there was no one around. Not Bella. Not Draco. Not Hanna. There was absolutely no one there, so I made my way down to the store that Bella had taken Hanna, but they weren’t there. I made my way back to the three broomsticks, but no one was there either. So, I just decided to sit at the bar and order a butter beer, they would come back soon.
“Blaise, how’s it going?” asked Phillip, my roommate, taking the seat next to me. “Where’s the girlfriend? I haven’t seen her since the incident in our room. I didn’t break you guys up, did I?”
I shook my head. “Of course not, but your still a prick, Phil.”
“That’s true,” he grinned.
“Zambini,” a cold voice said from behind me.
I turned to see Snape standing there with the sourest expression on his face. That could not be good, I thought as he motioned for me to follow him out of the pub and into the bitter cold air. He turned to face me, his long hair flipping in his face.
“What is the meaning of this?” he practically yelled.
“What is the meaning of what?” I asked, truly not knowing what he was going on about.
He sighed and got right up in my face. “Draco being kicked out of the Three Broom Sticks! What did he do this time? I’m sure you were in on it.”
I wiped my face off with the back of my sleeve. “Say it, don’t spray it, Professor.”
“What did he do?!”
“Alright just chill a second,” I smirked. “I have no idea what you are talking about. I didn’t even know that he got kicked out of the pub. What did he do?”
“That’s what I was asking you. I know he asked you for your help before with his mission, you have to know.”
I shook my head. “Not this time, boss. I’ve got to go. Smell ya later, Snape.”
I turned my back on him and headed for the castle. Hopefully Bella had decided to go up to dinner early. I had to find her. I had to find my true love and kiss her. I have to take her and kiss her so passionately that she’ll know that I’ll never leave her. She’s everything to me. Bella Rae Bolyard.
