  🎃 Fate Perkins - Oct. 31, 2015

One moment I'm signaling my departure via text, the next I find myself talking to the ghost - only this time, he was here to stay. I was curious, on who he was, and how our conversation just seemed to flow naturally. As far as I can recall, no guy I know (that isn't single or Theo) talks this easy with me. Maybe I did have a stalker? Nah. If I recall correctly, before I'd texted Blake I caught him talking Louis. (I knew he knew something.)

"You don't look like you're having much fun." Is how he approaches me, continuing to use that haunting voice that kind of freaked me out a bit. But I wouldn't admit that out loud because I am no scaredy cat. I turn to him, once more only meeting his eyes a few seconds before he turns away.

"Getting scared isn't really a fun hobby for me," I reply with a shrug. My eyes drift down to my phone where a message from Blake is present, telling me to be safe and that she loves me - oh, and that I better be going home with someone tonight. I roll my eyes and lock my phone, only now noticing that he had let out a soft laugh.

The sound made my toes curl in my heels - it was such a lovely sound.

"Parties aren't really a fun hobby for me," he says shifting the sheet that draped over his head slightly. And this time his eyes stay in my view, only he was looking past me toward the front door, and I can tell immediately that he wants to leave. That makes two of us. His eyes are out of my sight once I decide to focus on the color, still trying to decipher who this was.

"Oh? Why'd you come?"

"Lou- Uh, my friend Lucas is friends with Liam and I was kind of roped into coming the last minute." He tugs at the sheet. "Which is why I am a horrid ghost."

I nod, scanning his tall stature before tugging at the hem of my dress. "I was forced into this by Blake, Liam's girlfriend and my best friend."

"You look great," he says before clearing his throat. "Um, well it's clear that neither of us are having fun here so why don't we uh, um, you know..."

"Get out of here?" I question.

He nods before his eyes widen. "Not like that 'get out of here' - we won't be going to my flat  do anything. We could just you know, go do something else that's not... here." His talking gets slower when he takes notice of my amused smile, an awkward chuckle leaving his lip as his hand pops out from under the sheet to rub his head.

"You're cute," I comment boldly. Usually I, Fate Perkins, am not one to be bold but I guess being in this raunchy costume or maybe this positive vibe that is just flowing between us. Once more his hand comes up to rub his head, his eyes looking to the floor with a crinkle - I could assume he was smiling.

Biting my bottom lip, I look down to the text once more before locking it - the screen turning black before I shove it into the costume's pocket - the only thing Blake let me do to this costume. When I turn back to the ghost, he's looking back to the party.

"Alright. Let's get out of here."

(A/N): this is by far my favorite chapter so far! Harry, you better watch yourself because Fate is gonna figure out it was you! (He's keeping it a secret because as you've seen in the second chapter he gets really nervous around her and by keeping his identity a secret, he feels more confident - lol, somewhat). I hope you liked it and sorry for the wait!

p.s. harry's smile under the sheet when fate called him cute x
