It was just plain black, Thomas couldn't see, hear, or feel what was happening. He had no idea if it was morning or night, just black. Suddenly, he snapped his eyes open. He woke to see Chuck standing outside of the slammer. He looked around and noticed they locked him up in a cell. "What happened?", asked Thomas. "Wasn't pretty," replied Chuck, "What in shucks name were you thinking?" "Chuck I saw things you wouldn't want me to talk about," responded Thomas. A long moment of silence castes over them, until Newt and Teresa came over and broke it. "He okay?", asked Newt. "Yeah I think," replied Chuck, "but I hope cockiness ain't one of the symptoms," he said, smiling. "I have to get this out," said Thomas. Memories were flowing into his mind, he was barely able to hide the overwhelming feeling he had. Like a flash drive was depositing all of this information in his head. "We," he started, "Helped design the maze." Another long, awkward moment of silence fell over the gladers. They were frozen, looking at him as if he were a zombie. "Wait what?", asked Newt, finally. "I worked for the creators, and designed this mess." "Wait what do you mean we?", asked Newt. "Me and Teresa," replied Thomas. Teresa was already down in tears. "No," she said, "It can't be true." "Teresa we did this to them," replied Thomas. It only made things worse, until Newt spoke over Teresa. "Look what you did yesterday, doesn't matter anymore, the person you are today is the one that matters." "Shuck, you can't even remember what you did before that." Teresa stopped crying and focused on Thomas, knowing he was going to say something. "Look," said Newt, "We do have a choice to make." "What do you mean?", asked Thomas. "Gally's taken control," he started, "We can either join him, or get banished in the maze with you."
