Chapter 21

{Nathan's POV}

"Rose!" I rush to her side. Pushing Lily off of her. I hold her head and feel for a pulse. I didn't feel anything, and I started panicking, "Rose! Please!" I yelled. I felt a tear run down my face.

Suddenly I felt nothing I didn't even know why I was crying. I stand up and take a step away from Rose.

"What's going on?" I asked. Lily came next me and wrapped her arms around my body

"Nothing. Come on let's go home," she whispered in my ear dragging my arm away from Rose. I stopped where I was and looked back at Roses body.

I shook my head and everything came flooding back, "what's happening to me?!" I yelled and fell to the ground clutching my head, "I drank blood before this! This shouldn't be happening!" I yelled. Lily bent down next to me

"Rose was a human the first time you drank from her, that's why this didn't happen. But now she is a....."

"Vampire," I whispered. I looked at Roses lifeless body, "I drank from her dad this doesn't make any sense!"

"Do you remember the Vamped Curse?" Lily said sitting down next to me.

"The what?!" I asked looking at her as if she grew two heads. She rolled her eyes and held her hand out

"Let me see your hand," I placed my hand in hers, "okay do you see these two lines. One that starts on your pointer finger and pinkie finger and mets on your palm?" I nodded my head staring intently at my hand

"Okay now watch this," lily used her nail and cut my hand with it. I winced and tried to pull my hand back, "watch!" She hissed. I ignored the pain ad watched my hand turn an ugly shade of black.

I looked into the black and saw.... Souls? I looked up at Lily who was looking away from my hand like she was going to throw up, "what does this mean?" I asked

"It means your cursed Nathan. In your body is all the souls of every life you took. Including Roses, and her father,"

I looked down at my hand, "Can I do anything to make them leave?" asked looking up at Lily.

She gave me a sad smile and stood up, "you can do something. But your not going to like it," I stood up and saw that the hunter family was gone. I quickly walked to Lily grabbing her wrist

"Lily, what is it?" I asked. She slowly shook her head, "please Lily. I want them to go away, I can't live with this much guilt!" I said in frustration.

"Exactly!" Lily said turning around and throwing her hands in the air, "you'll die, Nathan!"

I looked at her in shock, "no..." I whispered

"If you want Rose and her dad back then you'll have to sacrifice your life!" She said closing her eyes, "and once you die all the souls in your body will finally be free. And you'll be nothing more than a body with an empty heart,"

I ran my fingers through my hair, closing my eyes. I felt like I couldn't breath. If I don't die, Rose will be gone. But if I die Rose will live and live the life she's wanted....but without me in it. This should be an easy decision, but I just can't leave-
